What are M.A.C’s must haves ?

Hey guys,

Next month I probably purchase some Mac products and I need to know what it is something that you really must have. I have a friend which is going to the u.k and I will tell her to purchase me some Mac make up because they don’t sell them here and they don’t even ship any to Malta.

I was thinking of purchasing some foundation, the viva glam lipstick and maybe some seasonal eye-shadows and blushers. What is your mac must have ?

Thank you all

Burt’s Bees – Radiance Healthy Glow kit – Review

Hey guys,

I am finally  writing about some of the fabulous products that I got lately. So I thought I should talk about the Burt’s bees – Radiance kit. I have heard a lot about t Being that I never tried the brand before so I thought a small kit would be nice to try the products out. It basically contains sample like products of the radiance range.

DSC00260

Something consistent that I noticed in all the products, is the smell they have, which isn’t really pleasing. I would have preferred if they smelled nicer. The kits aim is to enhance the skin’s natural glow and keeps the skin smooth and moisturized.

DSC00261DSC00262

Let’s start by talking about the Radiance Day Creme – This was quite a small sample, so it finished after a couple of days. The only good thing I noticed is that the cream, is that is pretty much consistent throughout the day. It has royal jelly, bee pollen and, wild cherry bark extract to calm and soothe, and burdock and birch extracts to help minimize the appearance of fine lines.

DSC00337

Burt’s Bees Radiance Eye Creme -The eye cream also has royal jelly which helps soften skin, increase radiance, and restore essential moisture to the delicate skin around the eyes. I don’t usually use eye creams but I find that most of them make my eyes itch a bit, which is what happened with this one too.

DSC00266

Burt’s Bees Lip Shimmer – The lip shimmer is there to condition, smooth & highlight your lips with seven shimmering shades. It also has natural ingredients like vitamin E and coconut and sunflower oils. When I applied it to my lips it had a minty smell which lasted for a while. It also had a refreshing feeling to my lips which I didn’t like in this cold weather but other than that it is OK. Not sure If I would buy again though.

DSC00270

Burt’s Bees Radiance Night Creme – Is similar to the day cream. It kept my face moisturized and in the morning my face looked clearer and had a nice natural glow. Might buy this product again and give it a try but would have preferred it smelled nicer because it can be a bit irritating.

DSC00264

But’s Bees Radiance Facial Cleanser – This is the product that I really like in general because it smells nice and it gives a nice soft feeling to the face. It is very gentle to the skin and removes the make up very well, it also leaved my skin hydrated which is perfect for these cold days.

DSC00336

Overall I felt it really made my face glow and radiant but the smell isn’t to my liking. The only thing I might purchase again would be the cleanser and the night cream. Other than that I don’t think I will purchase anything else again.

That’s all for now, keep posted for more 🙂

How to make your face look thinner

Hey guys,

I have been meaning to do this post for a while because some people do not know how to contour properly and the face looks either very pale or blend. The natural skin has different color shades that show the bone structure of the face. When we put foundation on, you kind of lose those natural shades and you have mostly a one tone colour. That is why contouring is important, so you can enhance your face bone structure. Your face will look  thinner and beautiful.

1

So here are some simple steps to help you out :

1. First you start with the nose. You need ,a 2 tone darker shade powder to use for your nose and place it on the sides of your nose as seen in the picture and then blend it out. I used a Rimmel blusher but if you want you can use a brown matte eye-shadow if you don’t have.

2

2. Then i used a dark bronzer to contour my cheeks. I used 2 bronzers from the e.l.f complete the look palette and with an angle brush, I applied it to my cheeks an then blended it out.

3

3. After doing cheeks, using the same angle brush applied the same bronzer around my head and underneath my jawline.

4

4. Finally I used a normal colour blusher and applied it to my cheeks and a bit around my face and blended out using a kabuki brush.

5

These are the simple steps you need to do, to make your face look flawless 🙂 I hope you liked this tutorial, keep posted for more 🙂

W7 products review

Hi guys,

How have you been doing ? I had a very busy week but when I have time for myself it is always nice to blog about my favorite things.

So recently I realized that I have a recurrent brand in my make up, which is W.7. When I was still studying and broke I didn’t have a lot of money to spend on expensive make up brands  that we most likely know of, so I used to buy from the W7 brand. To be honest I never noticed the brand until now, I just looked at it as being just cheap make up that I own. The truth is even though it is very cheap, it doesn’t mean it’s not good.

DSC00325

The first product I will talk about is this 10 shimmery color eye-shadow palette. As you can see from the photos, I used this palette a lot because it had quite good and cute colors.  I quite liked this palette even-though it isn’t doesn’t have the highest quality. It has a variety of colors from light to dark, brown, blues , black and purple.

DSC00326 DSC00328 DSC00329

Lately I also bought 2 concealers both from the same brand one is the camouflage kit cream and the other is cover stick concealer. They are both surprisingly very good concealers. I didn’t thank that with only a few euros you can have good quality concealers. They do cover dark spots and blemishes very well so I do suggest them to anyone especially the camouflage kit. In the camouflage kit you have a range of different colored concealers to use for different areas of your face. If I remember well it was about 4 euros the kit and the cover stick about 2 euros. So if you would like to buy a cheap concealer which is also good but the kit or the cover stick.

The last thing I am going to talk about is the big lash mascara. I got it from the clothing store called Peacocks and they sold them for only 5.50 euros. I wasn’t expecting much for a cheap mascara but I was quite surprised again at how good it actually is. It really gives you big lashes and it doesn’t clump the lashes together but it separates them nicely. You need to give it a few coats but other than that it works perfectly.

DSC00338 DSC00339

So well done for W7 for coming up with good and cheap make up. I do use their product on a day to day basis. I wear make up to work everyday so I try not to use the expensive brands for work but leave them for the weekend. W7 is definitely a brand you can wear on a day to day bases without spending a lot of money and still look good.

That’s all for now, keep posted for more

Carly Rae Jepsen – make up inspired look

Hey guys,
I hope you are all doing great and ready for another week of fabulousity  It is about time that I finally do a make up look and because lately I bought a couple of new pink lipstick shades that I absolutely adore and I thought I should put them to the test. I was watching tv last time and the song by Carly Rae Jepsen- this kiss came up and I liked the make up she wore in a scene were she these bright pink lips. It is a very girly and pretty look to wear for a night out or a date.

This is a very simple make up look to do and I will explain further with simple steps:

2

  1.  So the first thing I did was use a white base shimmery colour and applied it all over my lid and underneath my brow. The one I used is from the make up store – satin.
  2.  I then used a grayish brown color by e.l.f and applied it on the crease.
  3. Then I applied some black eye-shadow on my lid similar to applying an eyeliner.
  4. I also applied the eye liner using the e.l.f cream next to my upper and lower lashes.
  5.  Then I finished the eyes using the Eva garden mascara.
  6. Finally I applied a bright pink lipstick by NYX named spellbound and used a pink blusher by Marbert.

Fashion Sale Haul

Hey guys,

I hope you had a nice weekend. I have been meaning to do this post in a while but I have been very busy with work and I forgot all about it. I always go and check out the January sales but I was immediately unimpressed by the merchandise they had on sale. In Malta they tend to have a sale on the old collections rather than the new ones. So most of the things you find in the shops, are clothes which haven’t been sold months or years before. I was very disappointed with most of the shops, so I didn’t buy a lot of stuff.

I bought a couple of tops from Peacocks. The first one is a casual winter jersey with a gold owl design, the second is an elegant striped peplum top and the third is a nice beige blouse.

DSC09995

DSC09994DSC09997

I also got some accessories from Peacocks that I love, a new black and pink clutch bag and triangle gold earnings.

DSC09999

Geometric shapes are the new trend

My personal Favorite are the shoes I bought from Dorothy Perkins. I bought a pair of casual black shoes and an elegant pair of pumps. I have been meaning to buy a pair of boots for a while and I think it was even in my wish list for winter. I love the black/gold pumps too they are very comfy and perfect for a night out.

DSC09993

DSC09988

So that is basically what I bought on the January sale. I am glad I didn’t purchase a lot of clothes because I am working hard on loosing weight and I don’t want to purchase a lot of clothes that I will wear for just a short period of time.

That’s all for now, tc guys

Missha – Concealers

Hey guys,
How you doing? I had a very busy and hectic week but hopefully I will get to relax a bit this weekend. So now it is about time I talk about the rest of the products I got from Missha.

The first product I am going to talk about is the cover master by Missha. I really like this product in general. The sales girl suggest this product as a foundation but I do find it to me more of a large case of concealer. I only bought this for 12euros if I am not mistaken and it comes in this cute yet elegant packaging.DSC00242When you open the case, you will find a soft applicator sponge on a plastic casing and once you move the transparent plastic, you will find the tick liquid concealer. It is a good quality product and for the amount of product you have it is a good deal.

DSC00243DSC00244

DSC00245

DSC00251The next product I will talk about the the stage line concealer. I love this concealer for many reasons. It covers well bu at the same time it is not to heavy and blends well with the  skin texture. I have been buying this concealer over and over again too bad Missha is closing in Malta.

DSC00254

Well that all guys for now, hopefully I will have time to post more because I have bee very busy. lots of love

Missha – Foundations

Hey guys,
I thought it is about time I talk about the products I bought last from Missha. I have been a Missha fan for a long time, they have good quality and affordable make up.

DSC00248

My favorite product has always been their art designing foundation. But because lately they are closing the shops here in Malta there was’t any left so instead I got the M Perfect cover BBcream. There was only one shade left and it is the .. which is quite dark for me but I still got it just in case I need it for a client of mine with a darker skin.  Unfortunately I cannot give you a better review about this product because it is too dark for me to use. Yet from what I can see the pros is the it has a high SPF and does a decent coverage. Yet from what I’ve seen on other reviews is that some had breakouts and that he color has a grayish tone.

DSC00250

DSC00239

The second product I got is the Missha Watery BB cream blemish balm. This product I was able to try, because it matches my sking tone and it has SPF 27 sunscreen. Some people use this as a makeup base as opposed to being their main foundation. It has advantages of both a makeup and skincare product. It claims to even out skin-tone  camouflage under-eye circles and add radiance to the skin without the heavy mask of traditional foundation. It claims that prolonged use of the product can improve the overall texture of the skin and fade acne marks.

DSC00241

True to its name, it is watery or more runny than most BB creams. It blends easily and well on the face. When I top it off with a light layer of mineral foundation, the effect is beautiful, a dewy finish that looks flawless. This is a product that you can use daily for work, to keep your face moisturized and still looking great. The only downside I personally find, is that the it gives light coverage so I wouldn’t use is if I have pimples or scars on my face. But I will definitely use it when my face is clear.

These are the foundation I bought from Missha I will post another 2 post about Missha products so keep posted for more. I will hopefully do a make up look this week, because I had a busy one this past week. Thank you for following,

xoxo

A new home for my make-up

Hello beautiful people,
Lately I have meaning to buy a drawer to place all my make up because I hated having them cluttered all over my desk. Funnily enough the Lidl store has a special offer on a drawer just like I wanted it for the reasonable price of 35euros.

DSC00175

It fits perfectly under my desk and it has wheels so I can move it around if I want to. Now my make up have a more organized home, even though I still need to buy some containers to organize more the space. One thing at a time.

My primers, foundations, mascaras, concealers, lipsticks, lip-glosses, eye liners.

My palettes, single eyeshadows, blushers, and powders

Now my desk is more organized and I have less clutter finally 🙂 However I promise next time it will be more organized.

Keep posted for more.

E.L.F Lock and Seal

Hey guys,

So today I want to talk about the e.l.f product called Lock and Seal. I wanted to fully test this product and I have photos to prove it.

DSC00232

This is e.l.f’s product description:

“Increase the intensity of your makeup colors and lock it on instantly. Coat your eyeliner, shadow, lipsticks, blush, brow color and more for a sealed smudge-proof wear. The quick dry and easy to use formula keeps you makeup in place for hours. Say goodbye to makeup smudges and hello to makeup that stays put!”

I have to say I love this product. I personally only used it for my eye-shadow and the results were promising. My eye shadow stayed put for long hours and it still looked great. This is definitely a product that I will use a lot, especially for a wedding or a long function or a long night out. The product comes with a small plastic cup to use for mixing and a mini elf brush. You only need a drop or two, mix it up and then apply your eye-shadow or lipstick with the brush. Try not to use a lot because it might ruin your eye-shadow because after all you don’t need a lot.

DSC00233

My only complaint is the mixing cup. I would have preferred I wish that it screwed on top of the bottle so it wouldn’t be easy to lose. Last week I tested this product and applied my eye-shadow with it for work. These are the results:

DSC00205

Fresh in the morning

DSC00210

4hrs later during my break

Afater 10hrs

Afater 10hrs

As you can see the eye-shadow is still intact after 10hrs. The eye-shadow might not look exactly like it did in the first place but most of it is still intact. Usually my eye-shadow starts to diminish after 4hrs but with lock and seal, it stays put. I do recommend this product to anyone because it works wonders and it is very cheap to buy for £3.75.

Well that’s all for now. I will try to do a make up look this week hopefully but I have a lot of products that I still need to review, so we’ll see how it goes. I hope you liked this post, if you have any questions please comment down below.
