Orange Infusion- Make-up Look

Hey guys,

So here is a new make up look for you guys. It is very similar to a previous look I have done before, but with a new  summery twist. I used a mixture of orange and golden colours that look great in this Sunny weather.

Here are the step by step instructions and products I used for this look:

  1. The first thing I applied was a nice beige/white eye-shadow under the brows from the MUA naked palette.
  2. I used a range of colours for this make up look using the e.l.f palette, starting with an orangy pink in the inner corner of the eyelid and then using a vibrant orange further on.
  3. On the middle of the lid I blended the orange colour with a bit of gold and then faded the gold with a black colour on the crease.
  4. I also applied some orange coulour on top of the crease and under the lower lashes.
  5. For the cheeks I used the e.l.f baked bronzer and the M.A.C sheertone blusher called breezy.
  6. As for the lips I used chloe by NYX.

Well guys I do hope you like this look, I will try to be more active on my blog as much as I can with more reviews and make-up looks. Thank you for following guys

Fraulein 38 – 28 Neutral Nude Eye-shadow Palette

hey guys,

Sorry for being M.I.A lately but it’s been quite a week but I am back.Today I am going review the palette I got from Fraulein a while ago. Being that now it is the wedding season, I needed a distinctive palette with neutral colours. I believe that make-up for a bride should be be as natural as possible. You don’t want to look back at the wedding photos and ask yourself “what the hell were you thinking?”. What I mean by natural make-up is not going on your wedding make-up free (not that I am against it) but you don’t want to look pale for the cameras and the photos but instead you should use natural colours that enhance your beautiful features. I might actually do a bridal make-up look sometime soon :).

Now with regards to this gorgeous palette, it has 28 nude eye shadow palette, comes with an assortment of neutral tones in shimmer and matte effect. 28 colours includes 16 matte and 12 shimmer. Can be used as eye-shadow, bronzes, blush, eyeliners, and shimmer highlighters. The pigmentation of these eye-shadows vary, some are very good , some are okey the rest not so good, but overall I love this palette. I have created some lovely natural looks with this palette and it has some beautiful shades of colours. Sorry I didn’t swatch them all but being that they are plenty, so I swatched some of my favorite colours.

It comes in a lovely sleek black packaging and I love that is has no mirror and no applicator in it, because it makes it very light to carry around and I don’t need them anyway. This lovely palette retails for only 10.99 euros and the shipping is only 2 euros from their website. It is a great price for such a palette, I definitely recommend this product to any make-up geek like me 🙂

Have you ever tried any eye-shadows from Fraulein 38?

Shine On- Award

Hey guys,

So this week I was nominated by the lovely Mammu from Mammu Likes. Do check her out, she is an Estonian Beauty with a sense of style and fashion tips. Thank you so much for this Award, it means I am doing something right with this blog 🙂

Basically I have to mention 7 things about myself an nominated others for this award. Well I do hope I don’t bore you to that, so here we go:

1. Well something that people don’t think when they see me, is that I was quite a tomboy when I was a kid. I used to hang out with boys, play football and had even my cut out short. I was a carefree child and didn’t care what people said about me.

2. Nowadays I still keep that tomboyish side of me when it comes to handy work. I am quite a handy person, if there something that needs fixing, I just find a way to do it. I painted my room on my own and decorated it by myself and maybe with a little help from relatives.

3. I am quite good when it comes to building things with wood. At the institute of Art and Design we had an opportunity to try a particular workshop and i chose the wood workshop.  I carved wood, used the wood turning, created a lot of designs using wood and I love it.  I learned a lot when I was working with wood which actually helps a lot when it comes to my  job as a designer in office furniture.

4. Apart from my manly side, when I was younger I used to love designing clothes. I had a bunch of sketchbooks full of designs. I used to love watching the runway shows, with my sketchbook in my hands and drawing different outfit ideas that were probably fashionable at that time.

5. When I was a student I couldn’t afford buying new clothes, I had to go by with what I had. So I used to modify my clothes, so they always looked fashionable. I would create outfits out of nothing and when I went out I made sure I always looked good. I remember once I was given an ugly dress, and with the help of my mother which used to be a seamstress, changed it into this completely different and gorgeous dress.

6. To some extent blogging is my therapy. I love blogging because it reminds me to always enjoy the thing you have in your life 🙂 to always take care of yourself and be beautiful.

7. Some of you may know this already by I have another blog called “Work in Progress” which is about my weight loss journey. If you would like, you can check it out here.

So here are my Nominees in no particular order:

That is all for now 🙂 keep posted

MUA £1 Lipsticks – Review

Hey guys,

I hope you are all having a great week so far. Recently I was going trough my lipstick collection and realized that I haven’t reviewed and of the Make-up Academy Lipstick I bought last time. The thing that sold me immediately about these lipsticks is the price. I mean £1 for a lipstick is just ridiculous so of course I bought some from their range. I honestly didn’t expect for these lipsticks to be of good quality but to my surprise they actually are.

I am gonna be honest, not all of them were to my liking but I truly loved most of them. Some of the colours are really gorgeous and you are getting the quality similar to that of a drugstore brand. The consistency is pretty creamy and the finish is glossy. Some of the shades have got a rather chunky glitter in them, some of the shades are just pure pigment. I find that pigmentation varies from shade to shade, usually lighter shades are very sheer, but buildable and darker shades stain my lips in one sweep!

Shade12 Shade5 Shade3

The lasting power is not the greatest, but for the price, you just keep reapplying. They don’t fade in chunks or bits, they don’t dry my lips out too much, as you’d expect for a pound, and I actually find them rather moisturizing and that does not happen too often. I do recommend that you use lip balm or a lip salve after you a day of wearing these, as they sometimes tend to have a strange ‘post-wear’ effect on my lips, when the edges of my lips go a tad flakey, but as long as I slap on some effective lip balm, it’s all good. The scent of these lipsticks is like a strong vanilla, which might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I love it.

Overall, I have to say, I’m in love with these. I understand that for some of you they might be more or less drying, you might not be the biggest fan of the lasting power, but they are worth giving a shot, as you just might be as lucky as I am and get on with them like I do. I definitely recommend these lipsticks and might actually buy some more next time.

Have you ever tried these lipstick? What do you think?

Make-up Beauty Blender Sponge Dube

Hey guys,

As you know I am always on the lookout for your new make-up product and application methods. I have seen a lot of reviews about these make-up sponges that are suggested to be the best in the Market nowadays. The actually sponge is called a beauty blender but I bought a dube of it on e-bay. I tried to find the link for you if you are interested in buying but I couldn’t find it.

These sponges are very much in vogue nowadays because they make the application super easy and they are very soft and durable. My first experience was not a good one, but it was mainly my fault as i didn’t use them in the correct manner, which is why I am posing some photos to help you out.

I love sponges in general because they truly blend the foundation perfectly but the only which annoys me is that you cannot use them for a long period of time. You have to throw them away because they start tearing. With this beauty blender sponge you don’t have that problem,as it is very strong and you can wash it and use it again.

Washed and Unwashed

Wet and Dry

Something that I love about this sponge is that it is very easy to hold without getting foundation all over your fingers. I tend to have that problem when I apply foundation with a normal sponge, foundation get all over my nails. I suggest you wet the sponge before you apply the foundation it becomes softer and easier to apply.

Overall its a great sponge, not to hard and not too soft perfect to apply. From reviews I read online the real beauty blender is a bit softer and than the dupes but if you don’t want to spend a lot of money on a sponge the ones you find on e-bay are equally good. The actual sponge costs about £20 while the dupe you can find it for £2 basically.

Have you ever tried these sponges ?

Red Bliss – Make-up Look

Hey guys,
Yesterday I had a small party of my niece’s Holy Communion, and I wore a nice red lace top, that I bought a while ago. I thought of matching my make-up to what I wore with a twist. Usually when you use a red colour as an eye-shadow it can look very dark and Gothic, to give it a lighter tone I used a very light and vibrant green on the inner corner of my eyes.

List of products that I used:

  1. As a base colour I used the eye transformer palette by E.l.f which is the first shade of the palette that transforms into a whitish green.
  2. Then I applied the red in the middle of my lid blending it out into the crease using the Palette from E.l.f.
  3. For the crease I used a dark black also from E.l.f and blended it out with the red.
  4. Then I applied the light green/ lime colour on the inner crease and under my eye to give tone the whole look down. I applied it after the darker colours because when you are working with dark colours like red and black a light colour tends to fade away. So by applying it, as a last thing, it shows and lasts longer.
  5. Finally I applied a nice winged liner using the Golden Rose eyeliner and applied some Mascara using the L’oreal volume Mascara.
  6. As for the cheeks I used the E.l.f  baked brozer St.lucia, and M.a.c Breezy sheertone blusher.
  7. Last but not least for the lips I used the Catrice colour show lipgloss

That’s all for now guys, I hoped you enjoyed this make-up look.

Thank you for following and keep posted for more 🙂

Wjcon – Baked Eyeshadow Melange 216

Hey guys,

I am constantly on the lookout for new original colored eye-shadows, and once I saw this gorgeous eye-shadow, I knew I had to have it. Today I am going to review that last product I got from Wjcon with is the Baked eyeshadow melange 216 which is in a black and gold colour.DSC01471

Wjcon’s product discription:

Baked Eye Shadow Melange is the Wjcon eyeshadow characterized by a concentration of illuminating pigments and multi-faceted pearls, which may be used wet or dry to adjust the intensity from transparent to intense. If used dry it is delicate and light. If used wet it is intense and pearly. The result is amazing: vibrant colours and spectacular effects for eyes that hypnotize.

These type of eye-shadows are amazing, very pigmented and apply on the skin beautifully. I have used this eye-shadow for a couple of make-up look and I truly love the double colour effect it has. There about 20 different colors of these type of eye-shadows and they only for 5.90 euros each.

These are some of the colours that are available from the range:

Have you tried any of these faboulus eye-shadow, would love to hear your comment about them.

Wjcon – Quick Eyeliner in Prune

Hey guys,

I have tried and tests most of the product that I got from Wjcon and it is time for me review them. I was given a purple eyeliner with a purple eye-shadow that I reviewed here.

The eyeliner comes in a nice coloured packaging, which depends on the colour you choose. It has a thin and flexible tip which outlines the eye in a clear and defined way with lightness and precision. I imagine they called it quick eyeliner because you just open it and apply it immediately without having to dip the brush in the eyeliner.

I have to admit I personally find these type of eyeliners irritating. I don’t like the way they apply and the eyeliner tends to be less pigmented. I have tried a similar eyeliner of other brands and they are practically the same.

The only pron’s I give this product is that it is really waterproof and it dries fast. When I swatched it on my hand it took me a while to remove it, so it must be a good with regards to being waterproof.

I know some people love these type of eyeliner, so if you do , this is a great product for you for I prefer either liquid eyeliners with a brush , gels or cream eyeliner. They tend to be more pigmented and last longer.

If you are interested It is also available in 6 colours: CARBON BLACK , TOFFEE , PRUNEprune, PEACOCK, TEAL

Forgot to mention that they retail for only 4.90 euros which definitely a cheap price for such an eyeliner. So if you are into these type of eyeliner I would definitely try them out, but if you are an old school like me you should try some of their other eyeliners which are actually good from what I read. They have quite a various range of eyeliners so check them out, if you have the time, at Naxxar Road B’kara.

Do you like these type of eyeliners or not?
