Pupa – Vamp Mascara in 700 Rouge Noir – Pupa Princess Limited Collection

Hello ladies,

Today I want to talk about another product from Pupa Milano, which is from the Pupa Princess Limited Collection. I know I am probably late and there is a slight chance you will find these available any-more, but I thought of still reviewing this mascara. Even-though it might not be available in this colour there are many other colours available to this day.

V1

I have to admit that I I have a love and hate relationship with this mascara, I do love its gold metallic and chic packaging (reminds me of vintage casings), and also it’s fluffy brush, however I am not in love with this colour. Being that I have dark lashes and dark eyes, this colour doesn’t look good on me, it either has to be a very bright colour or else a dark black. But this would look great on someone with blonde lashes or anyone with beautiful light green or blue eyes.

V2

Unfortunately my eyes and lashes cannot truly give justice to this mascara as it just not made for me. I would truly love to try it on someone that has a porcelain complexion, the result would be fairly different. The formula is pretty good as the other Vamp mascara’s, it gives a nice volume to the lashes even though the colour doesn’t transfer well on mine.

V4

Pros:

  • Beautiful gold metallic packaging, very vintage
  • The brush is pretty good
  • The formula gives a pretty decent volume
  • Minimum smudging or fall outs
  • Good price value, as it retails €13.95, similar pricing to other drugstore brands.

V3

Cons:

  • Not suitable for someone with dark lashes and eyes
  • The formula can be a little dry for someone’s tastes, but it helps to avoid any smudging.

Will I ever buy this product again? Not sure, might purchase it if I ever need to create something on my future clients.

Do I recommend it? If you have a fair complexion, you should definitely give it a try.

Nails for a Good Cause

“YOUR NAILS LET ME PAINT AND MONEY FOR HOSPICE DONATE”

After a successful Marathon which was held yesterday in aid for various charities including for the Hospice Movement, I thought of writing another post that will also aid for this great foundation.  For those like me that unfortunately couldn’t run or walk the marathon, I decided to give back by getting my nails painted nicely.

Klara Grech created this fun event, were Klara herself will paint your lovely nails in some beautiful design and you get to donate the money for the Hospice Movement. I have known Klara for about a year now but little did I know that she also has a big heart. Being that she is quite obsessed with anything that has to do with nails (who can blame her?), she felt she should use her nail artistic talents to do anyone’s nails for 5 euros, which will be all donated to the Hospice Movement.

You can find all of the details of this event on Facebook on the link below:

https://www.facebook.com/events/184438545100591/

Klara did a lovely job on my nails, they are looking super pretty in this burgundy colour and some pretty hearts on my ring finger. I am sure you would be more than happy to you get your nails painted nicely while also giving back to charity.

I was pretty impressed that someone would actually spend their energy, time and money to raise money for charity. Nowadays we have become so lazy and would prefer to simply give the money. But for Klara the cause is close to her heart. Unfortunately her uncle was terminally ill, but as he was treated, he also resided in a hospice home in Australia, and the foundation made everything more comforting and peaceful for him. Now that her Uncle sadly passed away, she wanted to do something both in his memory and also to help this foundation, that will aid others in need. Apart from that even her Klara’s mother felt she should do something to aid this cause, which is why she ran the Vodafone Marathon yesterday.

K1

Also Hospice Malta is trying set up a 25 bed in patient hospice for terminally ill patients, whose scope is to enhance one’s comfort as much as possible in the last moments of life. The focus is on CARE not cure and all the money raised will go to this campaign, called Share the care step by step.

So what are you waiting for? call the lovely Klara get your nails painted pretty and give back 😀

Purple Rain- Make-up look

Hey guys,

It is Saturday and another Make-up look is up :D. Not sure if you have noticed, but I have been seeing a lot of Purple and blue colours when it comes to eye-shadow looks, apart from the usual nude. I felt I should create a new completely different look with the use of these colours, by using contrast. From a very pale white to vibrant purples hues. I find this look is wearable in any season, from Winter to Spring and even Summer.

Make Up Store – Nail Polish – Crackle black

Recently there has been a huge buzz bout these Crackle nail polishes, and I don’t blame them. In the last few years, nails have taken center stage, now women love to experiment and create various styles to wear everyday. New technologies are being created to this day one of which is the Crackle. Even-though the crackle has been existing for a long time, recently they are developing the same texture with new colours and even styles.

C1

A while ago I bought the Crackle black from the Make-up store and I am simple in love with it. It comes in a black sleep packaging as all of their nail polishes, however it can be easily mistaken to be a normal black nail polish (which is exactly what happened to me). I do highly suggest they create a different designed packaging for it.  What I love about this crackle is that you can create various styles of crackles depends how you apply the polish.  It is really simple to use this products, you first apply any normal nail polish colour you want, to wish I used the NYX forever 1989 and then when the polish is completely dry, I applied the crackle. After a few minutes it will start to crack and it will dry in a matte finish.  If you don’t like having the matte finish, I do suggest a final top coat at last.  This is one easy artistic way of creating some cool effects on your nails.

C3 C2

Pros:

  • Very easy to apply
  • Dries pretty fast
  • It creates some pretty cool effects, depends how you apply
  • It lasts for a good week, it also depends on the quality of nail polish you apply underneath.

C4

Cons:

  • Even-though I simple love this crackle I do highly suggest that they create a different design for the Crackle packaging as it can be easily distinguished for a normal black polish.
  • This is not actually a con but I recommend applying a thin layer of the Crackle Overcoat for best results, don’t lay this stuff on thick; it just won’t work if you do. Also, don’t forget to apply a clear top coat. Those two steps combined really make all the difference.

Will I ever buy this product again? Probably I love creating new style and textures on my nails, and this is one easy way to do that :).

Do I recommend it? Definitely, just make sure not to apply a tick coat and a top coat is always suggested, and your nails have just been beautifully crackled.

Pupa Milano – Vamp Cream Eyeshadow 002

Today I will review another Pupa Milano product from the Pupa Princess Limited edition. This time it’s their creamy eyeshadow in 002 shiny green. It  comes in this elegant small round jar with a plastic lid. I am simply in love with it’s creamy texture, I don’t usually go for cream eye-shadow because they are usually a bit sticky and  tend to fade away after a while or else leave visible lines.  However the texture is very nice and not sticky, and it still looks pretty good after a few hours without any lines. This eyeshadow retails for €9.75 which is neither cheap nor expensive, however I do think is good value for money. I have been using it for a while now and it’s still as good as new.

E2

I simply love using my fingers to apply this eye-shadow, however it can still be used easily with a brush.  What I love doing with this shadow is apply it on the inner corner of the eyes or else on the middle of the lid, it creates such a nice effect. Do check my make-up look called Winter blues, for which I used this lovely shadow.

E3

Pros:

  • Great sturdy packaging
  • Beautiful pearl/metallic colour, very much in vogue nowadays
  • Creamy texture and doesn’t leave any visible lines
  • Long lasting
  • Good value for money

E1

Cons:

  • There is nothing in particular that I don’t like about this shadow, it simply delivers

If you are interested in buying this shadow, hurry up as this is a limited edition. However I am sure you will be able to find it in leading pharmacies around Malta, Italy and various other countries around Europe.  Let me know what you think about this product if you ever tried it, by commenting down below. Show some love my liking my Facebook or  following me through e-mail.

Will I ever buy this product again? Probably I love it’s metallic and pearl texture, you can create some interesting looks with it.

Do I recommend it? Definitely, what you see is exactly what you get with this shadow.

Pupa Diamond Eyeliner – Pupa Princess Limited Collection

I hope I am not too late to review this gorgeous eye-liner by Pupa Milano. This is one of the two eye-liners from the Pupa Princess Limited collection which should still be available nowadays, but not for too long.  The 001 is Diamond Mauve, a red undertone glittery eye-liner, however I have the 002 Diamond Green which of course has a light green undertone. The liner itself has this gel consistency, and it comes with a brush applicator that glides quite nicely on the lid. This is one of the best glitter liner I’ve tried so far, however if applied by itself, the result can be a bit scattered, and it doesn’t give that full straight line which I would have preferred (it can be achieved if you reapply it several times). It is quite common for a glitter liner to be a bit tricky to apply, which is why in general I am not a biggest fan.

L1

Recently though I have been loving these recent double eye-liner looks, which consists of having a strong black liner then another glitter liner on top of it. Being that the result is a bit scattered this look isn’t possible with this liner. Yet I do like to apply it on top of a regular liner. It modified a bit the final colour but it looks really nice and it is more wearable.  What also impressed me about this liner is that lasting power, which is very good, it lasted me for over 5 hours. As to price, this liner retails for €13.50 in Malta, which is not pricey but neither cheap. Being that it’s long lasting and that it will probably last you for a long time, I think it is a reasonable price.

L2

 Pros:

  1. Beautiful coloured glitter, goes on with any coloured eye-shadow
  2. Cute and elegant packaging, good for travelling
  3. I love it’s pencil brush applicator
  4. Very Long lasting

L3

Cons:

  1. The only thing I would like, if the result would be more linear than scattered. I would create some interesting make-up looks if it wasn’t, but it’s still nice to have.

Will I ever buy this product again? Not sure I am not much of a glittery person, but it is pretty nice to have in my make-up collection.

Do I recommend it? Definitely, especially if you like to spice up you make-up looks. It is pretty long lasting and great to wear for a night out.

Versace Spring Collection 2014 – Black, Lace and Rock and Roll

Recently I have become utterly obsessed with what’s new in the fashion world. I feel like a young kid again, looking at the beautiful gowns that I clearly couldn’t and still can’t afford, and steal some of the other designer idea and create outfits myself. Being an interior and product designer myself, I always looked at fashion as a beautiful way to express your inner self. One of my favourite designer has to be Versace, I simply love their elegant way of dressing, feminine but still edgy.

This spring their collection revolves around the black colour, laced fabric with a rock and roll attitude. There are also a bit of colour blocking with the use of flower patterns and even edgy designs. What I love about Versace also is how their designed are are form fitting, extenuating every womanly curve.
