Pupa Milano – Vamp! Mascara in Extra Black

Hello drear friends,

Recently I am simply loving what fake lashes can obtain. Being that they can be a pain to apply on one selves, I am always on the lookout for good mascara’s that do a really good job in giving the Volume I always crave for.  A long time ago I fell in love with Pupa’s Diva’s Lashes Mascara which I still love to this day, but Pupa still find a way to create better and great products. Pupa’s new mascara called Vamp!, is quite a good competitor. I recently reviewed the same mascara but in a different colour and from the Pupa Princess Collection which you can view here. I got a small sample of the Vamp mascara in Extra Black and I really like it so far. Being that is was a sample it dried pretty easily and I felt that I might not actually get the full qualities of such a mascara, which is why I plan to buy the actual product,

What amazes me about this product is the formula, I never in my life had a mascara which was so light weight, that it felt like I didn’t wear any. Not sure if this ever happened to you, but there were times were I go to work and seriously forget to wear mascara. I know it crazy but it happened, which is why I always leave a mascara in my handbag. Last time as I was working I touched my lashes, and I thought I did it again and forgot to apply it, but then I looked at the mirror I was surprised I had actually mascara on and it was the Vamp Mascara.

It also has a beautiful hour-glass shape wand and that works wonderfully, it separates the lashes and gives them a nice volume. Due to it’s dense formula there are minor smudging or flaking and it lasts for a long time. The packaging is sleek and like the other Vamp mascara but this one in silver rather than gold.  I like this mascara overall even-though I would have wished it curled my lashes, to give the lashes a full out effect but I can’t really complain.

  • The creamy and dense formula that doesn’t weight the lashes down
  • Beautiful sleek silver packaging
  • hourglass-shaped brush, make application super easy
  • provides a nice amount of volume
  • wands separates lashes
  • Long-lasting, minor smudging or flaking

  • Doesn’t curl my lashes or lenghten

Will I ever buy this product again? Probably, I find it very useful when I want a very light make-up look and my lashes not to feel to heavy with mascara.

Do I recommend it? Definitely, I think this is perfect especially for those that are a bit mature. My mum hates having the feel of a mascara because it can be very heavy on her eyes, which is why I used this mascara on her, she barely feels it on.

Rating: I am giving it a 4 by 5 for it’s light formula

Have you ever tried this mascara, if yes tell me know your opinion down below.

Make Up Store – Nail Polish – Crackle black

Recently there has been a huge buzz bout these Crackle nail polishes, and I don’t blame them. In the last few years, nails have taken center stage, now women love to experiment and create various styles to wear everyday. New technologies are being created to this day one of which is the Crackle. Even-though the crackle has been existing for a long time, recently they are developing the same texture with new colours and even styles.

A while ago I bought the Crackle black from the Make-up store and I am simple in love with it. It comes in a black sleep packaging as all of their nail polishes, however it can be easily mistaken to be a normal black nail polish (which is exactly what happened to me). I do highly suggest they create a different designed packaging for it.  What I love about this crackle is that you can create various styles of crackles depends how you apply the polish.  It is really simple to use this products, you first apply any normal nail polish colour you want, to wish I used the NYX forever 1989 and then when the polish is completely dry, I applied the crackle. After a few minutes it will start to crack and it will dry in a matte finish.  If you don’t like having the matte finish, I do suggest a final top coat at last.  This is one easy artistic way of creating some cool effects on your nails.

C3 C2

  • Very easy to apply
  • Dries pretty fast
  • It creates some pretty cool effects, depends how you apply
  • It lasts for a good week, it also depends on the quality of nail polish you apply underneath.

  • Even-though I simple love this crackle I do highly suggest that they create a different design for the Crackle packaging as it can be easily distinguished for a normal black polish.
  • This is not actually a con but I recommend applying a thin layer of the Crackle Overcoat for best results, don’t lay this stuff on thick; it just won’t work if you do. Also, don’t forget to apply a clear top coat. Those two steps combined really make all the difference.

Will I ever buy this product again? Probably I love creating new style and textures on my nails, and this is one easy way to do that :).

Do I recommend it? Definitely, just make sure not to apply a tick coat and a top coat is always suggested, and your nails have just been beautifully crackled.

Lorde – Royals – Make-up look

Hey guys,

Here I am again, with a new Make-up look for you guys :). Recently I have been obsessing over the song “Royals” by Lorde, and of course I couldn’t help but notice the simple yet original make-up look she is wearing on her music video. The overall make-up look is very simple, however the eye-shadow/ liner is quite unique. There’s something about it that is really edgy yet basic, which also reflects this cut-crease winged liner.

  • This looks is very basic, it all about application. I by using a primer and then used a matte white shadow under the brows and into the inner corner of the lid and I applied a beige colored shadow on the mid lid.
  • Then I started applying the winged eyeliner upward and onto the crease. The shape reminds me of a cat’s ears.
  • Finally I used a black eye-shadow and applied it on the liner and blended it out.
  • Last but not least I applied a dark black mascara.

  • Urban decay Potion primer Eden
  • Make up store white michroshadow
  • Urban decay Naked 2 palette – bootycall and blackout
  • NYX the curve eyeliner
  • Benefit – The’re real mascara

  • NARS – Laguna bronzer and Deep Throat blusher

  • Her lips are in a nude colour which is why I used the MAC creme cup lipstick

I hope you enjoyed this look, it was a lot of fun for me to do this look. If you do get to do this look please tag me, I love to see your takes on the looks I create :). Thank you for following and for reading my posts, feel free to comment, like or share

Revlon- Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara

Hey guys,

Before I start with my next review, you will notice a slight change in the way I will review products further on. I will be adding rating stars at the end of the review, and ask two main questions, if I will ever buy the product again? and if I do recommend it for you guys? This will give you an overall idea of what I think about the products. 🙂

Today I will review the mascara which I have been using for about a month now. I bought the Grow luscious plumping by Revlon at a drug store and it retails for about €11 if i’m not mistaken, which is a good price for a drugstore brand. To be honest I am not really a big fan of this mascara however it’s not the worst either, it does give volume but it doesn’t lengthen my lashes. I do feel it makes lashes slightly heavy due to its dry formula, and because of it, the natural curl of the lashes is somewhat lost. So instead of the lashes to go upwards like they should they seem to remain at the same place.

I am using this mascara for everyday make-up, because it is quite inexpensive and it’s not so bad, but for the weekend I do prefer using other mascaras. I do like the brush, as it starts quite thick which I like but it get thinner at the end. The idea behind it, is probably created to cover those small lashes at the inner corner of our eyes, which we rarely are able to apply mascara on.

Will I ever buy this mascara again? Probably not because I was expecting more volume and length, and I didn’t get it.

Do I recommend it? Maybe, it is inexpensive after all and not so bad, it just didn’t fulfill my expectations.

L’Oreal Extra Volume Collagen in Black

Hey guys,

It been a while since I reviewed a mascara, because I tried to use the ones I already have so they don’t dry out. This is the latest mascara I bought and I am definitely looking to update my mascara collection. I have always been in love with L’Oreal mascaras since I was a teenager. They always made my lashes look long and with a lot of volume. I have quite average long lashes but with the L’Oreal mascaras, some people even thought I had fake lashes on, because they were looking so big.

So I went to my local pharmacy and bought a L’Oreal Mascara, this time it was the Extra Volume Collagen. When I saw the title “Extra Volume” and the thick brush it has, I was immediately bought. It cost me about 16 euros, a bit expensive for a drugstore brand but I didn’t mind as I knew for sure I would get immediate results. I loved it’s black sleek packaging, reminds me of some of the high end mascara’s.

Overall I like this Mascara, I am not in love with it but I do like it. To be honest I was expecting more Volume than the other Mascaras I have tried from L’Oreal. It does give some volume and I love that separates the lashes. This mascara is very dense and can be gloppy when you start a new tube of it. The brush is very fluffy so a lot of product is dispensed on the brush when you pull it out of the tube. In order to avoid too much product, scrape the side of the wand on the inside when you are pulling the wand out and it gives you a clean side of the brush to work with.

This mascara takes a practiced hand and isn’t ideal for someone new to applying mascara. It wears well, does not flake off and I like that it can be easily removed with cleanser and water, and a bit of eye makeup remover afterwards.

Overall it is a good mascara and I do recommend it to you guys, but don’t expect extra-volume. Well that is for now guys, Keep posted fore more reviews and make-up looks

Outfit and Make-up of the Week

Hey guys,
Yesterday I had a lovely school Reunion dinner with my ex class mates from the Institute of Art and Design and I thought I show you the outfit I wore. I wanted to wear something which is both classy, elegant with a mixture of something fun and casual. I realized that recently I have a lot black and gold tops and t-shirts. I like the mixture between something bright and something dark.

I love the mixture of something bright and something dark

  • Gold and Black top -Tesco
  • Black cardigan -Tesco
  • Trousers – Dorothy Perkins
  • Shoes – Dorothy Perkins
  • Jewelry – Promod and Peacocks

When it comes to make-up, I basically matched it to my clothes, which is gold and black. However I still added some other colors to the mix like yellow and beige.  As for the lips I wore a lovely light pink from nyx.

I hope you liked this look, feel free to tell me your opinions and comment down below. Thank you for following
