Undressed – Coconut and Outmeal Scrub

Hello beauties,

In one of my previous posts I wrote about visiting the Artisan Market and I discovered this new beauty Brand in Malta called Undressed.

Undressed consists of a line of hand and body scrubs, that not only helps you remove dead skin from the body, but they can also help in to suit other factors that every person might need. Also all of the scrubs are made from Natural ingredients, so no chemicals are used, all of which can be found listed on the base of the jar.

Since my skin tends to get pretty dry being that I wear jeans or trousers most of the time and I rarely give my skin any time to breathe, so I chose to try the Coconut and Oatmeal scrub. It is said, that these two ingredients help to hydrate the body and give it a soft feeling.

Un2

I admit I was a bit skeptical about these scrubs in general, cause I have tried plenty in my lifetime and none of them really give me a soft feeling that remains for a day or 2. But when I tested it out on my hands the first time I was immediately impressed. My hands are not dry in general, but I never thought they could become this soft and I had this feeling for approx 2 days. The second time. I tried it all over my body and I had the same impressive result. My skin felt so soft and moisturized, I didn’t need to apply any lotion.Un3 Un4

The only downer that this product might have for some is that it makes you want to eat it, cause the coconut smells really good. Also that it does get a bit messy, but so does any other scrub I’ve tried.

Overall I love this scrub, it truly delivers. Not to forget to mention, how cute is the packaging Jar, having the tag with the logo and instruction. The prices of the scrub are vary in sizes, the small one cost €7.50 while the bigger Jar is €12.80. However you can refill your Jar and save 1 euro, sounds pretty good to me.

Feel free to Visit the undressed website and show some love, you can also see where it is available close by and you can also get it delivered to you at the comfort of your home.

I do hope you like this review, feel free to comment blow and follow my blog for me make-up look, reviews and much more

Do it yourself: Manicure

M1Hello guys,

Well today post is a little bit different than usual, however it still has a lot to do with beauty. Recently my nails are a bit of a mess, and I honestly feel ashamed to have them looking so bad. My nails have never been thick, mostly because of my years of nail biting. It’s been 2 years since I stopped biting them and they have improved a lot, yet unfortunately they are still very thin and break very easily. Before the manicure my nails where all in different lengths, and they didn’t look one bit pretty. So I decided to give myself a manicure, and show you how to do it yourself. It is very easy just follow my steps.

M3

1 First step is to remove any bits of nail polish you might have left with a Nail polish remover. The one I used is from Kiko.

2 Second step is to dab your fingers into warm water for about 10 minutes. This will make your nails will be softer, which is ideal for when you need to file them.

M4

3 Next step is to file your nails, make sure to file them in one direction. The was my biggest mistake when I was younger I used to file them in both directions, which is why my nails are a mess. Also try to give them the same length.

4 Use a cuticle oil and apply and massage it one each nail, so that the nails will absorb it well. I used the Mavala Cuticle oil, it is seriously one of the best. Also if you have a cuticle remover ( not sure what it is actually called), push the cuticle inwards. Unfortunately I couldn’t find one so I used my nails instead.

M5

5 Step five I applied some hand lotion, and let the hand absorb it well. I have quite a selection of hand creme but I decided to use the Dr.Organic hand and nail cream, because it is very moisturizing and ideal for nails.

6 Before applying any sort of nail polish, I made sure to remove and moisturizer that there might have been on the nails. As it might not help with the application.

7 Apply any base coat or hardener depends on the state of your nails. Being that I need a nail hardener I applied the Sally Hanson Miracle nail thickener. Not sure if I like the hardener over my usual OPI Nail envy but I will give it a shot. If you don’t need a hardener just apply a base coat, then any coloured nail polish you wish and finally a top coat.  This will make your nail polish last longer.

Well that is all for today DIY manicure, I hope you enjoyed this post and you found it helpful. If you need any help feel free to ask. Try to find time for yourself and make sure you take care of yourselves.

Bio Oil – Review

Today I want to talk about a product I’ve been using a lot and sincerely loving. Since I was a teenager I had problems with stretchmarks, the same way I had problems with my weight. I constatly gained and lost weight and stretch marks were the result of it all.  Recently I’ve been taking care of my body and trying to avoid having more stretchmarks than I already do, so I am using this Bio Oil.

Bio1

I bought Bio Oil from the Uk the first time and I they are way cheaper than here in Malta, however it depends where you get them from and how much product you have. I do know that Holland and Barret sell them however I am not sure about the pricing. I will check and update you guys.

“Bio‑Oil is a specialist skincare oil that helps improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and uneven skin tone.
It is also effective for ageing and dehydrated skin. The Bio‑Oil formulation is a combination of plant extracts and vitamins suspended in an oil base. It contains the breakthrough ingredient PurCellin Oil?, which changes the formulation?s overall consistency, making it light and non-greasy, ensuring that the goodness contained in the vitamins and plant extracts is easily absorbed.”

Bio-Oil should be massaged in a circular motion into the scar and surrounding skin, twice daily, for a minimum of 3 months. Younger scars have a greater chance of improvement within a shorter time period, however, older scars will also benefit from the regular use of Bio-Oil.

Bio2

I have been using Bio Oil for the last 2 months or so and I’ve seen a huge improvement. The scars haven’t completely gone but more of the scars have faded away. I will keep on applying in the hopes of having other scars fade and be less visible especially in summer. The oil is transparent and it is absorbed quickly onto the skin.I highly recommend this product for stretch marks as it truly does the work and it’s not that expensive as some other products I’ve seen on the market.

Bio3

We all know that Pregnancy can cause stretchmarks, however if you are planning on losing weight and you have increased your fitness level try to apply this sort of oil to preserve the skin and prevent it from causing stretchmarks.

If you have any questions about this product do write in the comments below, show some love by liking my page and following this blog 😀

Anatomicals – Headache Relief Balm

Hello there the weekend is here :),

Today I want to talk about this awesome product called Headache Relief Balm by Anatomicals. I have to warn you that you might be prepared to make a purchase after reading this review, because you are going to want it. I think we all have headaches at some point in time, if it’s after a long day at work or because of school stress, they are bound to happen. Little did I know that there is a simple, cheap cure for them, which is this balm by Anatomicals.

h1

Pros:

  • Funny and quirky packaging and it constantly put a smile on my face.
  • It does relieve the pain. It contains natural ingredients such as peppermint oil and is a clear balm. When I felt a headache coming on, I quickly popped a little amount of product onto each temple and hoped for the best. After roughly a minute I began to feel a very cooling sensation despite putting a very small amount of the balm on.
  • It’s not going to do a miracle and take all the pain away but it will definitely make you feel a lot better.
  • I also hear that the oily residue is great for the skin, even for after sun burns
  • It also retails for the cheap amount of €4.99, and it will last you for a good amount of time.

h2

Cons:

  • Even-though it’s isn’t much of a con, the balm has an oily resedue, which can leave a bit of an oily stain but being that it helps with the pain, I wouldn’t bother that much. Being that my forehead can be a bit oily, I prefer to remove it after the soothing feeling is over. But if you have a dry skin I would leave it, as it has a nice moisturizing texture and smell.

h3

Will I ever buy this product again? I think I will,

Do I recommend it? I do highly recommend it, so go ahead and buy it 🙂 www.anatomicals.com.mt and check their facebook page here. You can find it also in various pharmacies around Malta too.

My Brushes – Cleaning and care

Hello ladies,

So Today I though I share with you the brushes I own and how I take care of them. I got my first set of Make up brushes about 5 years . My family gave me an 18 pieces set for Christmas because they knew that I love applying make-up ,and they are a must have to every make-upaddict. I have been using them ever since and they are still as good as new. However I might purchase a larger set sometime soon, you can never have enough :P.

I also have a a small 4 brush set I got for free from the Brand Sonya, I use them mostly the blend in my eye-shadow. They have a nice texture and they are very soft. My Favorite brush is the Kabuki brush I got lately from e.l.f it applies very well and it is super soft.

When it comes to cleaning I divide them in 2: The powder and the liquid brushes. The powder brushes I lay them on  some tissue paper and spray them with the e.l.f brush cleaner.

The e.l.f daily brush cleaner, cleans the brushes well however once in a while I like to give them a deep cleaning and for that I wash them in water and Baby Johnson Shampoo. Which is what I do every week with the brushes I use for liquid make up like foundation or concealer. Then I roll them in more tissue until they fully try to keep their natural shape.DSC00615It is very important to take care of your brushes and wash them at least once a week or 2. I have to admit , I really didn’t take much care of my brushes until now but I always made sure they were clean before and after using them on any of my clients.

Well that is it for now. Keep posed for more and thank you for following

xoxo
