Vintage Christmas – Make-up Look

Hello guys,

2

Christmas is just round the corner, can you believe it 😀 ? Time flies so fast. This week instead of doing reviews I wanted to show give you ideas of what products to look out for this Christmas (which you can check my post here), what make-up look you should go for and my seasonal nail styles. If I manage I might even show you how to get your hair curled for this holiday season. Also guys don’t forget to participate in my Giveaway 😀 you might be the lucky winner, more info here.

Last Christmas my holiday look was more focused on the eyes while this year I want to focus more on the lips, so the eyes are kept on the natural side. I was going or a Vintage look, being that Christmas is so traditional, we should go back in time were women were elegant and always looked fabulous. For the eyes I chose glitter and gold, as for the lips I went for some traditional vintage red lips.

1

Eyes:

Instructions:

  1. Like always I start with an an eye-shadow primer, which is a must have for the holiday season. I always have long dinners and I am always out and about so a primer is fundamental to keep it all intact for long hours.
  2. Then I started to apply some shimmery white shadow under the brows and onto the inner lid.
  3. Following the white I used a lovely gold shimmer colour on the mid lid and a bronze colour onto the crease.
  4. To give this eye look a bit of a flair I added a silver glitter eye-liner which unfortunately isn’t so visible in the photos.
  5. Finally I applied some thin eyeliner and mascara.  I would also suggest some beautiful fake lashes.

Products:

  • Urban Decay – Potion Primer Eden
  • Urban Decay -Naked 2 Pallete
  • Pupa Diamond eyeliner
  • Nyx the curve eyeliner
  • Rimmel Scandalous Eyes Mascara

4

Cheeks and Lips:

Instructions:

  1. As for the cheeks I love a little bit of bronzer under the cheeks for contouring , and a pinkish red blusher on top of it. Then I finished of with a nice highlighter on top of the cheeks, on my nose, middle of my forehead and chin.
  2. Last but not least for the lips I used a red lip-liner and filled all of my lips with it, then added a bit of matte red lipstick and finished off with some glossy red lipstick.

Products:

  • Nars Bronzing Powder – Deep throat
  • MAC – Dollymix
  • NYX lipliner in Plush Red
  • MAC -Ruby woo
  • Make up store- glossy lips – Cloe

I hope you like this look, feel free to tag me on facebook or instagram if you choose to try this look. It is very simple but yet effective and I believe anyone can do it

Hello guys,

I hope you are having a great week so far, and do not forget to enter for my awesome Giveaway by following some simple steps on my post here.

My latest look is inspired by the Spanish culture to which I absolutely adore. I was wearing this lovely dress to which it had these beautiful red and pink flowers on, to which it reminded me of the Spanish costumes, dancers usually wear. Unfortunately I didn’t take any proper eye detail photo but hopefully the instructions and rest of the photos will give you an idea of how to do it yourself.

Event | Pupa Milano – Pupa Princess Christmas Collection

Christmas came early thanks to Pupa Milano in Malta as we were showcased their gorgeous Christmas Collection called Pupa Princess.  I was invited for a lovely bloggers night by Stephanie from Medimports, at the at the Sensations Wine Bar in Birkirkara. It was a great night, filled with lots of Pupa fabulous products, wine and some delicious food.

Stephanie gave us a little presentation about the Pupa Milano brand and the new Christmas collection which I absolutely adore, and then were allowed to try out the products ourselves and even take some of them home to try.
1
For those of you that never hear about Pupa Milano, it is 40 years Italian brand in Milan. They are synonymous with their beautiful and innovative designed palettes. Being that I have 3 older sisters, I remember this brand from a very young age, as they would get these cute Pupa dolls as a present. I would stare at them as they opened these dolls and applied their make-up on.
2
Over the years they have evolved to more high quality make up and not just make-up dolls. They have been focusing a lot more on the formula so that the product not only looks good but also works wonders. I simple love their packaging it’s so sleek, simple, and  it shows in their products that they pay a lot of attention to detail, pretty much how they do in the fashion world.
3
Now let’s talk about Pupa Princess Limited Edition Collection which is this year’s Christmas collection. The colours are soft hues of nudes, pinks, teil, brown and of course a little bit of glitter being that it’s the festive season. What I simple love about Pupa collections in general is that they are perfect for women of any age. To view the whole collection, do check their website here.
4
I cannot wait to try out the products I got and review them for you guys. Last but not least Thank you Pupa Milano for such a wonderful night and for these products, I get to try 😀
I would also highly recommend the Sensations Wine bar at Bkara, the wine, food and service was excellent and the place is very nice and cosy.
For more information about Pupa Milano products and stockists, like their Facebook page here.
Also guys do not forget to enter for my Giveaway :D, more infor here.

Hey Smokey – Make-up Look

Hey guys,

Here I am back with a new make-up look for you guys. The only thing I like about winter is that you can get away with smokey eyes any time. Even though I would still wear this look any time of the year, in winter I find it to be more suitable.  This look is definitely for the daring girls but I believe black smokey eyes look good on anyone if it’s done in the right way, you can have green, blue, brown or black eyes, it will still look good on you. Being that I have big eye lids, smokey eyes never wear me out, but someone with smaller features has to be more careful, but if you do not go above the crease one shouldn’t worry. 🙂

B1

Eyes:

Instructions:

  1. First things first, I always start with an eye-shadow primer, to which I apply it all over the lid and somethimes even on the brows (so that I can shape them the way I want). I started applying a black eye-shadow and applied it all over my lid and made sure to blend it onto the crease with a light brown colour.
  2. Then I use the shimmer white colour under the brow and on the inner corner of the eyes.
  3. Then move on to the eyeliner and to add a different touch to this look I applied the glitter black eyeliner, which unfortunately isn’t so visible in the images. 🙁
  4. Finally I curled my lashes  and applied some mascara and defined my lashes with some black eye-shadow

B3

Products:

  • Urban Decay Potion Primer – Eden
  • Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette – Blackout – Tease
  • Make up store – Satin
  • NYX – The Curve Eyeliner
  • NYX – Eye Pensil -Black Glitter
  • Benefit They’re real Mascara

Cheek + Lips

Instructions:

  1. As to my cheeks, I made sure to contour my skin as much as I can, I find it to be very important when you do smokey eyes. Being that the eyes are so dark, you need to make up for it by contouring or else  your face will look flat. So I used a lot of bronzer around my face and under my cheek bone, then use a nice redish-pink blusher, which gave my skin a bit of life.
  2. For the lips I went for a very natural baby pink, nude colour

Products:

  • Primark – Sunkissed Bronzer
  • MAC- Breezy
  • MAC – Creme cup

B2

So that is all guys, I hope you like this look, I have a couple of interesting looks coming up, and do not forget the Giveaway which I will be hosting pretty soon 😀 So keep posted , thanks for following

XOXO

Make Up Store – Nail polish in Anders

Hello guys,

Before I start my review I want to remind you to like my Facebook page, so that I will host an awesome Giveaway. I only have 2 likes left to get 100 likes overall :D. Thank you for your Love and Support xoxo

So a while ago,I treated myself to some of the Make up store’s fabulous products at the Launch of the New Dean Gera’s hair salon Launch. One of them is this lovely dark blue sparkly colour called Anders. This product was part of our goodie bag and I am more than happy that I got this beautiful dark blue polish. I simply love dark colored nail polishes as I believe they are the prefect colors to wear for winter. This product is also in my November Favorited which you can check out here.

A2

Pros:

  • Like all Make up store nail polishes, they come in these sleek transparent bottle with a black matte tap and it contain 8ml of products.
  • This particular colour is from their sparkling range which is this deep blue with sparkly undertones. I love this colour because it it is very wearable, even if it has that “sparkling” factor it doesn’t look childish or our of context if you wear it for work for example.
  • It has a very good pigmentation which you can achieve with one coat but I always ops for a second coat.
  • The staying power of this polish is amazing, it started chipping slightly after 5 days of wear.
  • It retails for about 10.99 euro which is a pretty decent price, not too pricey but not cheap either

A1

Cons:

  • The application was a little bit messy for me, the texture is a little bit too tick but I imagine it because of the sparkly undertones.
  • It does not dry like their usual glossy polishes, it actually dries in a matte way so I did have to apply a top coat on it to achieve the result I wanted.

Will I ever buy this product again? I do have to admit, I fell in love with this colour so I might buy it again, however I’m pretty positive i’ll try some of their other polishes.

Do I recommend this product? Yes definitely, it a pretty good polish none the less, check their nail polished at their Shop at the Point Shopping Complex – 2 Sliema.

NYX- The Ultimate Pearl Shadow – Bronze Pearl

Hello guys, Today I will review another product I got from NYX which is this Ultimate pearl shadow in Bronze Pearl . This eye-shadow is one from the vast selection of colours from this range. All seem to be very vibrant and have that pearl-like pigmentation that can make your eyes stand out. NYX  have been creating very good quality shadows for a while now and this pearl shadow definitely keeps up with the standard.
e1

Pros:

  • Very good Pigmentation, i love the texture of this shadow
  • I like the black sleek packaging with it’s transparent lid
  • It has a good amount of product so it will probably last me for long time
  • It is easy to blend and it is also buildable.
  • The price of this eye-shadow is about 5 euros which can be seen as a little pricey for some being that it’s a single eye-shadow, but as I said before it has a lot of product.

e4
e2
Cons:

  • It is a little bit too glittery for my taste, some of you might like the glitter but for me it doesn’t do it.

e3
Will I ever buy this product again? Well I’m not sure if i’ll buy the same colour but might purchase another one in a different colour.
Do I recommend it? I do recommend them especially if you like shimmery glittery shadows, but if you don’t check out some other great shadows which NYX have, they are worth every penny. For the Maltese they are available at Tower Road, Sliema.

Have you tried these shadows? give me your opinion down below 🙂 thank you for following, keep posted

Cleopatra – Halloween Make-Up Look

Hello guys,

So I thought another look for you guys for this Halloween, this is way simpler than the previous one. This was created for those that aren’t used to experiment a lot with make-up, but still want to try something new for this Halloween. I chose to do the beautiful ancient ruler Cleopatra, and the look is inspired by the way she is portrayed in various movies. The most important aspect of this look is the eye-liner, if the eyeliner is done well your look is complete. I also used a wig because my bands have gotten longer, but if you have bangs, all you need is a few jewelry pieces on your head and you’ve transformed yourself into Cleopatra.

c3

Eyes

Instructions:

  • I started with the usual base primer and used a shimmery white eye-shadow with a yellow undertone under the brows.
  • Then I used a gold colour and applied it all over the lid even some on the crease, following with a blue eye-shadow on the outer lid and a little bit on the crease.
  • Finally I did a double eye-liner, which is an eye liner both at the top and under of the eyes, and some mascara to finalize the look.

c4

Products:

  • Two faced primer
  • Make up store Michroshadow Satin
  • Elf 100 marble pelette
  • Barry M eyeliner
  • Collection Mascara

Face

  • As for the cheeks I used the elf bronzer to contour and Marber peach colour on the cheeks

Lips

  • I kept is simple light and simple and used the Pupa glossy lips- lip gloss

Indian Inspired – Make-up Look

Hey guys,

First of all I want to wish all the Maltese a happy feast while for the rest of the world I do hope you are enjoying your day to the full :). Recently I have been very influenced by the Indian culture. I am in love with the use of colours when it comes to fashion, make up and even religion. Colour plays an important aspect to their values and everyday life. Something I noticed is, that they go full out with make-up and colour on bridal make-up. In western societies we usually go for more natural colours.

1

It would be interesting, I really get to do make up in India, because I wouldn’t have any restraints. Both in Malta and other western countries I have had clients that are sometimes scared to apply different colours because they think it will look bad, but it doesn’t. It all comes to application and blending. However let’s get to my look, I have noticed the use of purple, blue, and yellow in Indian Make-up so I thought these should be my main colours.

4

For this look I used:

  1. The Two Faced, shadow insurance primer
  2. Make up store – white shimmer colour
  3. E.l.f palette for the yellow, blue, purple colour
  4. Maybellline lasting drama gel eyeliner
  5. L’Oreal extra volume colagen Mascara
  6. For the lips I used OMG  lipstick by MUA
  7. Cheek, elf baked bronzer, Mac sheerton blusher breezy

2 3Well guys I do hope you like this look. I do hope I made justice to the beautiful Indian make-up. If you like this look, I would appreciate a like or comment down below, thank you for following
