Makeup Revolution- Liquid Eyeliners

Hello guys,

Finally I am have my blogging muse once again and I will start doing reviews of some of my favorite and even least favorite beauty products.

Today I want to talk about 2 of my favorite liquid eyeliner by Make-up revolution, the “Amazing Eyeliner in black” and waterproof and the “Awesome Eyliner felt and Kohl”.

Eyeliner1

I have to say that these are the best eyeliners that you shall find, at this ridiculous cheap price. There are definitely other good eyeliners in the market but I haven’t encountered good ones that are this cheap, cause for sure they all cost more than 6 euros minimum.  The “Amazing” liner costs 1.50 sterling (approx 2:50euros)while the “Awesome” liner is 3.50(approx 5 euros).

Eyeliner3

From their names you can realize that they were not kidding when they named these liners “Awesome” and “Amazing“, cause they are indeed. My favorite is the waterproof version of amazing cause it doesn’t smudge and it stays put a whole day. I also love the thin brush, as it give you the ability to draw at any thickness you need. But it is also slightly firm, especially for those that find it tough to apply eyeliner. Another good factor is that it will last you for a good 3 months, if you apply eyeliner often, it might even last you longer.

Eyeliner2

Then the Awesome liner is a perfect eyeliner for when you are on the go and you feel kinda lazy to be painting the Mona liza a winged liner.  It has 2 felt pens one is thin and the other is thicker for when you want to be a little bit more adventurous. The only downer is that it isn’t waterproof, so if by any chance you decide to touch it, it will transfer. But if it doesn’t rain and you are not watching the Notebook, you don’t have to worry about your eyeliner. It will remain intact.

Overall I am pretty pleased with these liners, I use them everyday for work. I love how easy I can create any shape and thicknesses with both liners, but my fav has to be the Amazing liner. Also that it is a very dark black colour, cause some liners to be a charcoal grey rather than an actual black. Of course you can find these beauties at their own website, and I suggest you to stock these as much as you can 😀

Have you tried them out? if so let me know what you think 🙂 Please don’t forget to show some love and like my facebook page and you can also follow me on Instagram and Bloglovin

I <3 Make Up - You're Gorgeous Palette by Make up Revolution

Hi there,

A while ago I did a bit of a shopping spree on the Make Up Revolution Website, and at that time they has this offer that with every buy that was over a certain amount ( which I do not remember) they gave out this palette with 2 of the Wow lip-glosses.

1

Images from the Make up Revolution Website

I am so glad they gave me this palette as it truly is my go to palette for everyday and much more. I wish to apologize that I don’t have any original pictures as mine is not in it’s prime shape as I used this palette frequently/

In the upper section of the palette you will find a variety of  10 matte natural colours, which include cream, browns and black. I simply love the matte colours, they  apply nicely and are perfect for everyday make-up.  Then below there are about 22 smaller, various shimmery colours from light to dark. I have to admit I am not really a fan of the shimmery shades, I find them a bit flaky and shed more than the others. But overall they are still a nice addition to the palette.

Pros:

  • Very nice black packaging
  •  The matte shadows are simply a must have
  •  It has all the colours you would need for everyday and even evening look
  • Ideal for travelling (I took this palette with me when I traveled to Italy and it was more than enough)
  • Very cheap and worth every penny

Cons:
• Not a big fan of the shimmer shades

Will I ever buy this product again? I probably will, I love using it for eveyday.

Do I recommend it? Definitely, I think it’s a must have especially if you’re on a tight budget.

Would love to hear from your opinion, if you ever tried this product

Dermalogica – Skin Care – Review

Something I have been lacking throughout my life is a good skin regimen. I always made sure to clean my face and never sleep with make-up on. Yet I never took too much care of my skin, I always forgot to put the moisturizer on, unless my skin felt dry or scrub my face for at least once a week. Also I never had treated myself to a good facial until recently. After the new year I decided to splurge a bit on myself and went for a nice facial at a local beautician, who’s shop is called Belle Image. The facial was amazing, my skin was shouting with joy as it became very soft and got rid of the dirt which must have been hidden inside my skin.

DSC03323

Like most beauticians if they are linked to a particular product, they will do anything to sell it to you. If  your like me you cannot afford to buy expensive products, be strong and refuse. Yet if you want to spoil yourself with some good products, try dermalogica.  When I bought these products my heart sank, as they are ridiculously expensive from my point of view (yes I am aggressively honest) However I can say that from the few months I’ve been using their products, they are definitely worth it.  My skin has improved a lot I don’t have as much blackheads as I used to,  and it’s softer and healthier.

So far I’ve bought the Scrub, moisturizer, toner, eye cream, and Make up remover. Keep on reading for a further opinion on each product:

DSC03331

Soothing Eye Make-Up Remover:  This is a pretty decent make-up remover, It is not as expensive as the other products but still pricier than other make-up removers. I got this for free with the moisturizer, I’ve tried it a couple of times, it is pretty good however if I had to buy it again, I don’t think I would repurchase. Not because it’s a bad make-up remover but because I can buy a cheaper make-up remover which does the same job just right.

DSC03327

Age Smart Multivitamin Thermofoliant Scrub: Now this is one hell of a scrub, I simply love it. Usally with scrubs they either fall off my face or are not effective enough. The moisture is thick and once you apply it doesn’t fall off and it gives you the liberty to scrub the face very well. Then you get this warm feeling, which let’s you know that it is doing something to our skin. My face feel super soft right after and I could see that it took most of the dirt of my face. It is pretty pricey but it’s worth every penny.

DSC03329

Multi Active Toner: I quite like this toner, it is not alcohol based and you can also spray it on your make-up apparently to keep it fresh. I’ve never applies it on my make-up but I always apply it after I cleanse my face. The only annoying part of this toner is the packaging, the nozzle is pretty annoying as you cannot spray multiple times you need to wait for the air to pump it back up.  Other than that it’s pretty good.

DSC03328

Active Moist Moisturizer: I simply love this moisturizer not only it keeps my face hydrated it doesn’t leave my face oily one bit. Another good thing about it is that you don’t bee a ton of product to cover the whole face, it spreads heavenly. I always end up with more product out than I need as I am used to other products. It is a bit pricey yet as the scrub its worth every penny.

DSC03333

Intensive Eye Repair : I am lazy hen it comes to eye cream which is why without any make up, I have the worst black eyes. Yet with this eye cream, miracles happened I don’t have black eyes as I used to. I don’t look like a panda without make-up anymore :P.

Those are all of the product which I purchased from Dermalogica, if I do purchase more products I will let you know what my opinion is. I do have to say that they are pretty good they have improved my skin even if I am quite reckless.

If you have tried or use Dermalogica I would love your opinion, feel free to comment down below

lot’s of love

NYX – Box of Eyeshadows 112 colours

Being a makeupholic, I am always interested in trying out new pigments and new products. If anyone would ask me what make-up product I like the most, it would probably be eye-shadows. I probably have more than 10 eye-shadow palettes and believe me they are not enough.  Why I like eye-shadows so much? It is probably because I am an artist, I used to paint using acrylics and without the different colours you wouldn’t create Art basically. The same goes to make-up, different eye-shadows can truly create some beautiful Art.

When NYX opened in Malta I truly wanted to test out some of their eye-shadows, and I was impressed by the few I got to try out that I went ahead and bought this extensive palette. Compared to the pricing, they have some good quality pigmentation. The packaging is very sleek in black; it also comes with an applicator and mirror which I rarely use. It has two compartments; the upper one has the natural colours from light to dark natural colours like white, black and brown. Then you can slide the bottom compartment and you will find a range of vibrant colours from Pink, yellow, blue and orange.

It is very useful to travel with, I basically take it to most photo-shoots, and it has become truly indispensable. This beauty retails, for about €34, which is a fairly good price for such a good quality palette.

Pros:

  • Nice sleek and sturdy packaging – great for travelling
  • Great pigmentation
  • Easy to use and blend
  • Decent pricing

Cons:

  • The only thing I’m not too fond of is that I do get some fallout. Being that its powder it’s pretty normal, but I do believe it should have less.
  • One thing that annoys me is that the highlights, medium tones and dark tones are scattered in the palette, I would have preferred if they were in order like the Elf Palettes for example.

Will I ever buy this product again? I probably will, it might not be the best eye-shadow palette but i find it very handy and the eye-shadows are pretty pigmented.

Do I recommend it? Definitely, if you like to have a variety of eye-shadow and don’t want to spend a lot of money, this is a good medium.

Pupa Milano – Vamp! Mascara in Extra Black

Hello drear friends,

Recently I am simply loving what fake lashes can obtain. Being that they can be a pain to apply on one selves, I am always on the lookout for good mascara’s that do a really good job in giving the Volume I always crave for.  A long time ago I fell in love with Pupa’s Diva’s Lashes Mascara which I still love to this day, but Pupa still find a way to create better and great products. Pupa’s new mascara called Vamp!, is quite a good competitor. I recently reviewed the same mascara but in a different colour and from the Pupa Princess Collection which you can view here. I got a small sample of the Vamp mascara in Extra Black and I really like it so far. Being that is was a sample it dried pretty easily and I felt that I might not actually get the full qualities of such a mascara, which is why I plan to buy the actual product,

VB2

What amazes me about this product is the formula, I never in my life had a mascara which was so light weight, that it felt like I didn’t wear any. Not sure if this ever happened to you, but there were times were I go to work and seriously forget to wear mascara. I know it crazy but it happened, which is why I always leave a mascara in my handbag. Last time as I was working I touched my lashes, and I thought I did it again and forgot to apply it, but then I looked at the mirror I was surprised I had actually mascara on and it was the Vamp Mascara.

VB3

It also has a beautiful hour-glass shape wand and that works wonderfully, it separates the lashes and gives them a nice volume. Due to it’s dense formula there are minor smudging or flaking and it lasts for a long time. The packaging is sleek and like the other Vamp mascara but this one in silver rather than gold.  I like this mascara overall even-though I would have wished it curled my lashes, to give the lashes a full out effect but I can’t really complain.

VB1

Pros:

  • The creamy and dense formula that doesn’t weight the lashes down
  • Beautiful sleek silver packaging
  • hourglass-shaped brush, make application super easy
  • provides a nice amount of volume
  • wands separates lashes
  • Long-lasting, minor smudging or flaking

Cons:

  • Doesn’t curl my lashes or lenghten

Will I ever buy this product again? Probably, I find it very useful when I want a very light make-up look and my lashes not to feel to heavy with mascara.

Do I recommend it? Definitely, I think this is perfect especially for those that are a bit mature. My mum hates having the feel of a mascara because it can be very heavy on her eyes, which is why I used this mascara on her, she barely feels it on.

Rating: I am giving it a 4 by 5 for it’s light formula

Have you ever tried this mascara, if yes tell me know your opinion down below.

Pupa Milano – Vamp! Wet and Dry Eyeshadow – 305

In the recent months I have been testing and simply loving all of the Pupa products. Now I am finally taking the time to give you a detailed review about their latest new eye-shadow beauties. Recently Pupa launched a series of 24 gorgeous shades of Vamp! Wet and dry eyeshadows, and I was lucky to get my hands on one of them. I chose this gorgeous navy blue, that has this pearl-like kind of metallic texture.

 VW1

This eyeshadow can be used both wet and dry, however I have only used it when dry up till now.  I have used this particular colour in a recent make-up look called Winter blues, so do check it out. I am simply in love with this colour, the texture and pigmentation is simply impeccable. Many have asked me about this shadow whenever I wear it. It also has little fall out and it has such a lovely smooth and “creamy” texture, which is a pleasure to work with and blend.

VW2

I also can’t express how cute is their packaging, which is very sleek and neat just how I like it .It also has a nice small applicator which can be handy for some, even though I still prefer to use my own eye-shadow brushes. This beauty retails for €11.70 which is a good reasonable price, for it great quality and it also has a good amount of product that will take a while for it to end.

VW3

Pros:

  • Beautiful packaging, sleek and neat
  • Great quality and pigmentation
  • Minor fall outs
  • lasts all day
  • Worth every penny

WW4

Cons:

  • NONE- I actually have nothing negative to say about this product is simply delivers.

Will I ever buy this product again? Definitely, I would buy it in an instant if I ever run out, the pigmentation is simply divine.

Do I recommend it? Of course, I urge your to visit their local Pupa stand which are available in various Pharmacies, Perfumeries and Beauty Salons, they are totally worth it.

Spanish Nights – Make-up Look

Hello guys,

I hope you are having a great week so far, and do not forget to enter for my awesome Giveaway by following some simple steps on my post here.

My latest look is inspired by the Spanish culture to which I absolutely adore. I was wearing this lovely dress to which it had these beautiful red and pink flowers on, to which it reminded me of the Spanish costumes, dancers usually wear. Unfortunately I didn’t take any proper eye detail photo but hopefully the instructions and rest of the photos will give you an idea of how to do it yourself.
S1

Eyes:

Instructions:

  1. The eye look is a very simple, and natural, however the only difference is that I did apply fake lashes with this look.
  2. I started with a eye primer and used a matte white shadow under the brows and a shimmer colour on the inner and mid lid.
  3. Then I blended out the white, with a matte brown colour on the crease and a tint of black shadow.
  4. Finished the eyes by applying fake lashes, eyeliner and then mascara.
  5. Last but not least I defined the brows with a black eye-shadow

Products:

  • Two faced eye-shadow primer
  • Naked 3 Palette –
  • NYX the curve eyeliner
  • Duo glue for the lashes
  • Rimmel – Scandalous eyes mascara
  • The fake lashes are of an unknown cheap brand

S2

Cheeks + Lips

Instructions:

  1. For the cheeks i used a lovely bronzer to contour, being that the spanish as well tanned and used a nice pinkish/red blusher for the cheeks.
  2. As for the lips, I wanted to go for a different colour rather that the usual Red, that they are mostly known for. Instead I went for a dark beautiful pink colour.

Products:

  • Nars Bronzing Powder – Deep throat
  • Make Up Store- blush- Glam rose
  • Make Up Store- Lipstick – Mandy

NYX- Za Za Zu Mascara

Hello guys,

Since NYX opened in Malta I have been loving all of the products I bought and given. As I am always on the look for a new mascara to fall in love with and when I saw this mascara with its huge wand, I knew I had to have it  however it failed to impress :(. I really don’t like giving bad reviews about products but unfortunately this has to be one of them. I am always 100% honest in my reviews and if I don’t like a product I wouldn’t want others to waste their money on products that aren’t so good.

Z4

Z2

Pros:

  • The mascara comes in a  nice black sleek packaging
  • I love the brush, it’s big and thick and I imagine with a good formula it will give gorgeous lashes.
  • A good way I found to use this mascara is as a primer, you apply it first to give it that slight thickness than apply another good mascara for the final result.

Z3

Cons:

  • The formula just does nothing for me, it doesn’t give any me any sort of volume and it definitely doesn’t lengthen my lashes.
  • I have applied it with two coats and it like I didn’t apply any mascara at all, it just made my lashes a bit darker.
  • I also hate the nylon fibers in this formula it seems to be flaking off and it gets stuck in my eye.

Z1

Will I ever buy this product? I am sorry but definitely not, it just didn’t do it for me.

Do I recommend this product? I don’t, but I do recommend you try some of their other mascaras from NYX because I’m sure they do a better job.

Morticia meets Corpse Bride – Halloween Make-up Look

Hey guys,

So I thought I’ll show you one last Halloween look I did on my sister. She originally was going for a Morticia Addams look but she really liked my artistic devil look, so she opted for something more artistic. I called this look Morticia meets Corpse Bride because being that my sister has some really big eyes, the way I defined them through make-up reminded me of the corpse bride.

I am not going to explain in detail how I did this look because it will take me a long time. But the images can really help you understand what colours I used and how I did it.

2

Face Base:

The most important thing for a look like this is to make the face look as pale looking as possible, I used some very light foundation and concealers and also tried to hide the eyebrows so that I can draw on them.

1

Eyes:

For the eyes I went for a dramatic red smokey eyes very similar to my devil look which you can view here. I used a lot of red on the lid and even under the eyes, it gives the impression that the person is either sick or dead. It is important to contour with some dark black color to give the eyes further depth. On one side of the face I drew a spider web using eyeliner. Unfortunately the result didn’t come as great as I wanted it to be because they liner wasn’t great but it was satisfactory.

3

Cheeks

For the cheeks I contoured the face with a very dark bronzer, the darker it is the lighter it makes the rest of the face look. I also used the mac breezy which is a reddish blusher.4

Lips

For the lips I used a mixture of matte and shimmery red and then I lined the lips with black eye-shadow.

Well I hope you like this make-up look , it was quite fun for me to do. I love doing artistic make-up, I feel like a true artist :). If you love this look please comment down below and feel free to share,

XOXO
