Maybelline- Eye Studio Lasting Drama – Gel Eyliner

Hello there,

This is my first review on my new website :), which is pretty exciting. I do hope you like new layout and logo, I designed it to be very simple, and accessible. Let me know what you think below.

1

This today I will review the Maybelline- Eye studio lastin Drama- Gel eyeliner (yes the name is long), I have been using this eyeliner for a long time and have found it to be quite a good gel eyeliner and the best I had tried from most drugstore brands. The texture of it is in between that of a pencil and that of a liquid liner. It comes with a nice brush which unfortunately I lost for some reason, so I couldn’t show it to you guys. It retails for approximately €9 which is a good price for a gel liner and you get a good amount of product which will last you for a long time.

2

Pros:

  • It has a nice dark black colour, just the way I like them
  • The packaging is very nice and quite sturdy,  however it would be better if the brush incorporated with the tube, so I you don’t get to lose it
  • The brush is good especially for a winged eyeliner but not suitable for precise thin lines
  • It last on my lids for a whole day. When I used to wear it for work,  it would still be visible once I got home, 9hrslater.

Cons:

  • The most annoying thing for me was that I have to clean the brush after each application, because the buildup can cause the liner to look very sloppy.
  • If you have oily lids it might smudge a little bit after a long day or wear but on me it worked just fine.
  • Make sure that if you use it, use it repetitively, don’t forget about it like I did cause it dried out a bit. However I still use it for my eye-brows.

3

Will I ever buy this product again? Maybe, it’s not a bad eyeliner but not my favorite either. I like that it stays on for a long time but having to clean the brush all the time after using can be annoying.

Do I recommend it? I recommend this to girls who aren’t a fan of pencil or liquid liners.

Eclipse – Make-up look

Hey guys,

I hope you are having a nice weekend so far. So as promised, here is another make-up look for you guys. This time I decided to do a different smokey eye with a mixture of blue and black. I decided to name this look the Eclipse because it reminded me of the colours you see during the eclipse. During an eclipse all you see is total darkness but there is also a tint of blue, white and brown.

Eclipse2

So here are my step by step instruction and also the list of products I used:

Eclipse1

  • The first thing I applied was my 2 faced primer, which I will review further on and then my make up store shimmer white colour under the brows
  •  I started off my eye-shadow look with a vibrant blue color from the e.l.f 100 palette on the middle of my lid and then blended it out with a darker blue color on the crease and on my waterline.
  • I also applied a tint of black colour onto the crease and finished of the look with a light brown colour on top of the crease. Very important to blended all the colours together.
  • Finally I used my maybelliner gel eyeliner and did a double eyeliner and  then I used the Revlon grow luscious plumpin Mascara.
  • For the cheeks I used the Elf contouring blusher called Turks and Caicos and Marbert peach colour.
  • As for the lips I used the Catrice Color stay – light my fire lipgloss, a very natural peachy colour.

Well I do hope you enjoyed this look, if you like it please comment down below of like this post. I finally updated a little bit my blog so it is easier for you to follow my blog and even like my facebook page. Thank you so much for following

Indian Inspired – Make-up Look

Hey guys,

First of all I want to wish all the Maltese a happy feast while for the rest of the world I do hope you are enjoying your day to the full :). Recently I have been very influenced by the Indian culture. I am in love with the use of colours when it comes to fashion, make up and even religion. Colour plays an important aspect to their values and everyday life. Something I noticed is, that they go full out with make-up and colour on bridal make-up. In western societies we usually go for more natural colours.

1

It would be interesting, I really get to do make up in India, because I wouldn’t have any restraints. Both in Malta and other western countries I have had clients that are sometimes scared to apply different colours because they think it will look bad, but it doesn’t. It all comes to application and blending. However let’s get to my look, I have noticed the use of purple, blue, and yellow in Indian Make-up so I thought these should be my main colours.

For this look I used:

  1. The Two Faced, shadow insurance primer
  2. Make up store – white shimmer colour
  3. E.l.f palette for the yellow, blue, purple colour
  4. Maybellline lasting drama gel eyeliner
  5. L’Oreal extra volume colagen Mascara
  6. For the lips I used OMG  lipstick by MUA
  7. Cheek, elf baked bronzer, Mac sheerton blusher breezy

2 3Well guys I do hope you like this look. I do hope I made justice to the beautiful Indian make-up. If you like this look, I would appreciate a like or comment down below, thank you for following

E.L.F HAUL – Make-up Tools

Hello make-up lovers,

As I have told you in my previous post, e.l.f had quite a nice offer of giving everything 50% off for St.David’s Day and I decided to buy some tools and brushes that I needed for quite a time.

Brushes and Mascara shield

  1. First is the angled foundation brush which is perfect to cover some angles of your nose and under your eyes. The brush is super soft and it blends the foundation well on to the skin.

2. Is the small precision brush which you can use to draw thin eyeshadow lines or even the eyeliner. The brush is also very soft and is perfect for liquid eyeshadows of eyeliners.

3. The angled eyeliner brush is my Favorite, it draws a nice thin line eyeliner line beautifully. This is the right brush to use when you want to draw a very thin line with a cream or gel eyeliner.

4. Lat but not least is the mascara shield which I really had to have. It happens to me a lot that I do the perfect eye-shadow and then ruin it with the mascara. This is just perfect I am proud of elf for coming with such a great idea. The shield is basically made from silicone and it stop you from having any fall-out. I find it a bit hard to use it on myself but it is definitely a must when you need to apply mascara on someone else.

I also bought some disposable lip gloss wands which I like to give to my clients with a lipstick sample to carry with them for the occasion. So they can do some further touch-ups later on. I even bought some powder applicators to also give out to clients. I once read that a participial make up artist, that she gave out powder applicators with some powder on them for the clients to have enough for touching up. I also got the eyebrow stencil to try them out but I honesty don’t really need them. I do find them a bit silly and I don’t like the plastic material because it sticks to my foundation and it gets dirty immediately.

DSC00848 That is all for now, keep posted for more. I will try to do a new make up look this weekend. Thank you all for following

xoxo
