Confessions of a Beauty Blogger

Hey guys,

So I saw this post on many of the beauty bloggers that I follow and some told me that I should do it. So here I am 🙂

Skincare:

How many times you wash your face daily?

Once or twice

What skin type do you have?

Combination

What is your current facial wash?

I am still on the look out to be honest, however at the moment I am using Burt’s Bees facial cleanser.

Do you exfoliate?

Not really but after this post I will try to do so 🙂

What moisturizer are you using?

I have different ones, at times I used the Burt’s Bees Radiance night cream or the Cien 24hr moisturizer.

Do you use eye cream?

I do when I remember hehe, I am using the Burt’s Bees radiance eye cream

Do you or did you have acne prone skin?

Not particularly but I do get pimples most of the times.

Makeup:

What foundation do you use?

I have so many, I don’t know which one I should talk about. However the best one I have is the Vichy Dermablend Corrective Concealer.

How about concealer?

I have also a lot of concealers hehe for everday I usually use the Rimmel hide the blemish or w7 kit, for an evening out I use the Make up store concealer.

Do you know your undertone colour?

Warm Neutral undertone

What do you think of fake eyelashes?

I like them if they are appropriate, look natural and do not hide your eyes. I don’t like huge lashes on someone for a simple night out, huge can only be used in fashion photo-shoots. They are not flattering if they look very fake on you, but if they are natural looking and give you that extra volume, than why not ?

What brand of mascara do you use?

I have so many but my favorite at the moment is the Pupa Diva lashes-

Pupa mascara

Pupa mascara

Sephora or MAC?

I cannot say because I never tried sephora but I have tried mac and they are pretty good.

Do you have a MAC Pro-card?

No

Do you use makeup base/primer for the eyes.

Yes.

For the face?

Yes I have plenty from missha to inglot and even e.l.f

What is your favorite eyeshadow? (colour or shade?)

You can never go wrong with black and lately I am obsessed with metallic colours like gold and blue.

Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?

Both but I prefer liquid

What’s your favorite lipstick?

I love my NYX spellbound lipstick super pinky 🙂

Do you like drugstore makeup?

Yes.

Did you ever consider taking makeup classes?

Yes I do

Name a makeup crime that you hate?

There are so many, it’s hard to mention one. Basically I hate anyone that puts on too much make up and hides their real natural beauty. Make up is there to enhance your beauty and not to hide it.  I also hate big and heavy fake lashes that hide your beautiful eyes

Which celebrity always has great makeup?

I am a beyonce fan but she is so naturally beautiful that she doesn’t need a lot of make up. However I have to say I like Kim Kardasian when it comes to make up. We have very similar style of makeup and she look’s a lot like me after all 😛 joking hehe

If you could leave the house using just one makeup item, what would you use?

This is though, mascara or eyeliner but probably eyeliner wins.

Could you ever leave the house without any makeup?

I think so. One I have done it at home I can leave without having any with me.

What do you think of makeup?

I love make up because it enhances your natural beauty but I find it to be a playful way to show your mood of the day. We all use clothing to show how we are feeling on that particular day, if it is something pretty, smart or sexy. The same goes with make up we can look pretty or sexy if we want to, thanks to make up.

Blogging:

How many hours a week do you spend writing/editing posts?

I have no idea hehe it depends on the posts. If it is just a review it will take me an hr maximum and if it was a make up look maybe 2hrs so probably 10hrs or more a week.

When is it easiest for you to blog?

Whenever I am free hehe Lately mostly in the evening after work or in the morning.

What makes writing behind the computer comfortable for you?

Because I am so used to being behind a computer especially when I was studying and I love that I can edit and arrange if I did some mistakes

How long does it take for you to prep a post?

It can be only an hr if it is just a review but as I said before for a make up look it would be 2hrs because I have to edit the photos in 1.

Who is a blogger that you read who deserves more readers?

Damn there are so many but probably Nicole from . I just love the make up looks she comes up with, always flawless.

That’s all for me 🙂 I hope this wasn’t boring for your to read

xoxo

E.l.F vs Inglot Primer

Hey guys,
So this Christmas I got a lot of make up products from e.l.f and a couple from Inglot thanks to my lovely bf and his mother. I have both the e.l.f mineral infused face primer and the Inglot make up base and I thought of doing a review of both them together. They have very similar qualities but of course both of them have their prons and cons and I am going to discuss both.

E.l.F vs Inglot primer

E.l.F vs Inglot primer

E.l.F mineral infused face primer:

Pros:

  1. It makes my skin feel very smooth
  2. It also make the foundation application a lot easy
  3. The foundation last longer thanks to this primer
  4. It is very cheap

Cons:

  1. I just hate the packaging, the pump is supper irritating because the moisture is so tick , it doesn’t come out at times.
  2. There isn’t a lot of product in one bottle and you need to a good amount to cover all the face.

Inglot make up base:

  1. Good quality primer, leave skin smooth and velvety
  2. Spreads on the skin effortless thanks to its silicone enriched consistency
  3. It makes the application of the foundation easier.
  4. The foundation lasts longer
  5. That packaging tube is great because you can take out product as much as you want.

Cons:

  1. A bit more expensive than the elf primer
  2. It takes longer to dry

Inglot and elf primer

They both are good primers but when it comes to quality I think the Inglot primer would win but I do suggest the elf primer to anyone who doesn’t have a big budget on make-up or is just starting out. The moisture is quite similar when you look at them but the inglot spreads more than the elf primer so you don’t need a lot of product. Inglot would definitely win over elf especially when it comes to its packaging because the elf pump is very irritating while the Inglot’s is very easy to use.

That’s all for now, I hope you liked me honest opinion and if you have an questions do not hesitate to comment down below.

xoxo
