Indian Inspired – Make-up Look

Hey guys,

First of all I want to wish all the Maltese a happy feast while for the rest of the world I do hope you are enjoying your day to the full :). Recently I have been very influenced by the Indian culture. I am in love with the use of colours when it comes to fashion, make up and even religion. Colour plays an important aspect to their values and everyday life. Something I noticed is, that they go full out with make-up and colour on bridal make-up. In western societies we usually go for more natural colours.

It would be interesting, I really get to do make up in India, because I wouldn’t have any restraints. Both in Malta and other western countries I have had clients that are sometimes scared to apply different colours because they think it will look bad, but it doesn’t. It all comes to application and blending. However let’s get to my look, I have noticed the use of purple, blue, and yellow in Indian Make-up so I thought these should be my main colours.

For this look I used:

  1. The Two Faced, shadow insurance primer
  2. Make up store – white shimmer colour
  3. E.l.f palette for the yellow, blue, purple colour
  4. Maybellline lasting drama gel eyeliner
  5. L’Oreal extra volume colagen Mascara
  6. For the lips I used OMG  lipstick by MUA
  7. Cheek, elf baked bronzer, Mac sheerton blusher breezy

2 3Well guys I do hope you like this look. I do hope I made justice to the beautiful Indian make-up. If you like this look, I would appreciate a like or comment down below, thank you for following

Red Bliss – Make-up Look

Hey guys,
Yesterday I had a small party of my niece’s Holy Communion, and I wore a nice red lace top, that I bought a while ago. I thought of matching my make-up to what I wore with a twist. Usually when you use a red colour as an eye-shadow it can look very dark and Gothic, to give it a lighter tone I used a very light and vibrant green on the inner corner of my eyes.

List of products that I used:

  1. As a base colour I used the eye transformer palette by E.l.f which is the first shade of the palette that transforms into a whitish green.
  2. Then I applied the red in the middle of my lid blending it out into the crease using the Palette from E.l.f.
  3. For the crease I used a dark black also from E.l.f and blended it out with the red.
  4. Then I applied the light green/ lime colour on the inner crease and under my eye to give tone the whole look down. I applied it after the darker colours because when you are working with dark colours like red and black a light colour tends to fade away. So by applying it, as a last thing, it shows and lasts longer.
  5. Finally I applied a nice winged liner using the Golden Rose eyeliner and applied some Mascara using the L’oreal volume Mascara.
  6. As for the cheeks I used the E.l.f  baked brozer St.lucia, and M.a.c Breezy sheertone blusher.
  7. Last but not least for the lips I used the Catrice colour show lipgloss

That’s all for now guys, I hoped you enjoyed this make-up look.

Thank you for following and keep posted for more 🙂

Daniels Perfumery – Latest make-buys part 2

As you already know last week I checked out the new shopping mall in Malta called Daniels and I fell in love with the perfumery they had which has all the make up you can think of. Next time I promise to take some pictures.

My shopping bag

My shopping bag

So I bought a couple of things from there some of which I will review individually but I though I show you a picture of all the products.

All of the product I got

All of the product I got

I got a mixture of products from different brands and prices. I will start talking about the foundation brush and the sponges I got. The sponges are very worth it they only cost me 3.50 euros and you have a large amount of sponges in one packet. With most of the sponges I buy they tend to break after using them more than two times and they loose shape while these sponges are very soft they didn’t tear apart of loose any shape. I would definitely recommend them to any body that likes using sponges instead of brushes. If you are doing make up to one person you can use the brush but you cannot use that same brush on anyone else after because it needs to be cleaned. That is why when you have to do make up to more than a couple of people a sponge is definitely preferred.

I love sponges when I apply foundation because it gives a nice finish touch. I feel that a brush leaves its brush strokes on the face but I am trying to act like a pro and use a brush instead that is why I bought this new foundation brush. Even though I don’t think I made the best choice of brush. Don’t get my wrong it is a very good brush but I find it takes longer to apply the foundation than a sponge because I try not to leave brush strokes on my face and smooth-en my face. However I do not recommend  it for foundation I believe there are better shaped brushes for that.

Finally I thought I should review the new perfume by Boss named femme. I got two lovely free samples with my purchase and I got to smell this lovely perfume. I believe everyone likes different smells some might like spicy, some might like sweet, or flowery.  I think Femme is a blend of sweet and flowery with a pinch of spicy. I quite like it, I am very inclined to sweet smells so yeah I really like it might buy the real perfume.

thant’s all for now, keep posted for more, lot’s of love

Daniels Shopping Complex experience

Yesterday we had a public holiday in Malta, but all the shops were open because of the Christmas holidays. Shops have been opening 7 days a week for almost 2 months, so anyone can manage to but all Christmas presents.

Lately a new Shopping complex opened in Hamrun, Malta named Daniels and I went to check it out. As I went in, I was surrounded by different beautiful shops, from a toy shop to a Christmas decorations shop called Natalizie and a jewellery shop which had the most expensive brands like DKNY, Gucci ect.

In the foyer you’ll find a bunch of seating and tables which are connected to the Hollywood  cafeteria/restaurant and the another cafeteria named Oggi. But my Favorite was The Perfumery-Natural bliss by bottega verde. It was make-up heave really, they had a lot of make up brands from Maxfactor, Loreal, Maybelline, Revlon, Make up studio, Shisheido, Pupa and some other cheap make up brands. The nice sales girl also told me that they are planning to get more brands of make up. I will definitely check it out in another 2 weeks or so :). I spent some real money on make up there, even though it was hard to choose something when you have a lot of choice. I was in a bad mood so make-up was my retail therapy hehe. I will show you al lthe product and review each on of them later on in my posts.

So after falling in love with the Perfumery shop, I thought I check out the rest of the shops. I went on the Intermediate floor and there were a couple of fashion ware shops like Marcon, Kloe and Fruscio. Not my style of clothes definitely so I headed upstairs for the third floor.

The third floor was not my cup of tea. I didn’t like how the shops were divided at all. The shops had no walls, it was basically an open plan and all the shops had sections were they sold their merchandise  They don’t have the privacy of a normal shop with 4 walls. You can find yourself at a moment looking at shoes and in another second you are in the clothes section. To much for my taste, I like to relax when I shop and take my time and look for things. I don’t like having a bunch of people around me when I am shopping for clothes or shoes.

Also to pay you don’t go to the shop cashier, you have to go at the cash point were there were 5 cashiers and a queue behind each on of them. I personally don’t like this method it feels like you are at supermarket rather than a retail shop.

Then later on as I was heading out I realized there was a basement level and went to check it out. I was basically “more” supermarket which is definitely efficient for anyone that lives in the neighborhood to have.

So that was basically what I think about the shopping complex. It is a good shopping complex but the only reason I would visit again is to check out the make up in the perfumery. I didn’t like clothing shops they had so it will be mostly for make up.

I hope you enjoyed my post, If you went tell me your experience. keep posted for more 🙂

Lana del Ray Inspired make up

Hey guys, I hope you had a fabulous weekend so far and I hope you enjoy the rest of it :). I had a nice weekend so far and I made new contact for this blog to move further and further up. So last Thursday here in Malta it was raining like crazy so I thought I should do a Lana del ray inspired make up.

It is very easy to do, she wears a lot of brown in her make up and at times she does very smoky eyes but her signature look is very 60’s style. It all about the eyeliner. Having a heavy eyeliner is the signature look of the 60’s. I took inspiration for her picture below. The make up is very simple, light colors like weight or beige on the inner eye lid and underneath the brows, then a mixture of light browns and dark on the outer crease. Then you finish up with a heavy black eyeliner and neutral colored lips.
For this look I used mainly e.l.f products for the eyes which includes the eye-shadow and the eyliner. The mascara I used The golden rose wonder lash which I will review in another post. For the cheeks I used a mixture of Marbert and elf blushers and the same goes to the lips. I also written paradise like her own permanent tattoo.

I hope you like the look 🙂 Of course I dont have the beautiful face structure as Lana del ray but hopefully you can see the make up resemblance. I do suggest false lashes with this look, she wears a lot of false lashes. Well that’s all for now, I will post some more later today so keep posted 🙂 xoxo

Maxfactor False Lash Effect 24hr – Review

Hey guys again. I would like to thank you all for following my blog. It is the best thing I have done lately hehe :). I got some awesome news today but I won’t reveal anything for now. I want it to be official first.
So yesterday I went to buy some make up for my ” in-law” and of course I ended up buying some make up for myself. I needed some mascara because the ones I am using are almost finished. I normal use the L’oreal double mascara which has a coat base and the mascara. I find it to be the best mascara ever. However the sales girl was trying to sell me the last mascara by Maxfactor. Honestly I am not a Maxfactor fan, I don’t like their make up especially their foundation but I am always happy to be proved wrong someday.

So I bought the latest Maxfactor mascara  to try it out, called False Lash Effect it says it gives bold volume for up to 24 hours. The only truth about this mascara is that it really lasts up to 24hrs because it stayed put for a long time and when I tried to remove it with the usual cleanser it didn’t go completely off. I am still trying to find ways to actually remove it. It is not healthy to have mascara on for so long you need to clean your face at some point. Or else they should have created a remover to go with the product.

The mascara is still a disappointment like the rest of the makeup. I don’t want to be completely negative because it does give an average amount of volume but it definitely doesn’t give the false lash effect that Maxfactor is trying to portray. I do not recommend this Mascara to anyone, don’t buy it because it would be a waste of money. I guess I had to buy it to warn you guys hehe.

The only good thing about this product is the cool design and the brush it has. The brush is very good to separate your eyelashes but there are far more better mascaras that can give you the same result.

Well that is pretty much it, I hope you continue to enjoy my posts. I got a lot of things coming up this week and I will update you with everything. Keep posted lovelies xoxo 🙂
