Purple and Pink Smokey _Make-Up Look

Hello guys,

I hope you are having a great weekend so far and getting pumped up for another week. I am very excited to finally cover a Make-up look I did yesterday, on my blog. It’s an ideal look for a date night or a special occasion, especially since now that the wedding season is here. You can wear this look if you are wearing a touch of purple or pink or even if you are wearing a simple black dress, it will pop up your whole look.

L3

Keep on reading if you want to know what products I used and how to create such a look 🙂 Please keep in mind that you can recreate this look with any similar product you might have:

Instructions:

Base

I always start my make-up look with a primer, this time I used the Pupa B.B cream powder which I also reviewed this week. It is a great product to help with any redness and it moisturizes as well. Then I move on to my foundation and I apply the Vichy Dermablend number 25 on all my face (do not forget your neck and cleavage area, if you are showing some 😛 ) then I use the Dermablend number 45 (or 2 tones darker than your skin colour) to contour my face.

When I contour I like to leave the bronzer or foundation untouched then I blend it in after a few minutes,. To finish up my base I apply the Dermablend number 15 which is the lightest shade on my T zone and under my eyes. Never forget to apply powder to set all of your foundation. I like to use a light powder for my t zone, than a translucent powder for the rest of my face. For which I used the NYX stay matte but not flat powder in 01 and Essence all about Matt translucent fixing powder.

L1

Eyes

I like to start my eye look with an eye-shadow primer, this is ideal for weddings since you are probably going to party the night away, and you definitely want your eye-shadow to remain intact. My favorite is the Urban Decay potion primer Eden it gives a nice tint to my shadows and it remains intact. Then I start by applying a mauve shade my the Body shop, it a nice light brown shade that helps to serve as a base for the whole smokey look.

On the eyelid I used the Kiko Colour Fever eye-shadow palette 101, it has 2 beautiful dark purple colours which have a lovely frosty finish. Then on the outer corner and the crease I applied the Make Up Store Choco D’or, a beautiful dark brown shadow with gold tone. Make sure not to forget to apply a nice matte white shade ( Make up store- White and Satin) for under the brow bone and a nice shimmer white shade on to the inner corner of your eyes, for definition.

Last but not least a nice winged liner using Kiko Precision Eyeliner, for this look I also applied the liner under my eyes and onto the inner corner. Finally pump up my lashes with some mascara using the Essence Get big lashes. Feel free to apply some fake lashes for the occasion.

L2

Cheeks and Lips

For the cheeks I used a nice Pink tone blusher by Make Up Store called Glam Rose, and for a nice glow I applied the beautiful highlighter by Soap and Glory called Glow all out, on my cheeks, nose and forehead .For the lips I used 2 types of lipsticks, instead of using a lip liner, I applied the gorgeous Pink Make up Revolution Salvation Lip Lacquer called What I believe and then Make Up Store Mandy a beautiful Fuchsia Lipstick. Having these two together made my lipstick last longer and it looked bolder and brighter. Love it <3

Well that is all for now, I do hope you enjoyed this look. Feel free to comment and show some love by following my blog, here on facebook and blogloving. I love to get your feedback 🙂

Wish you all a great Sunday, lots of LOVE

Flawless – Make-Up Look

Hey guys,

A while ago I bought the “Flawless” tshirt from Beyonce’s new Album clothing line. As most you already know I am quite a huge Beyonce fan and as a Woman and quite a  feminist I am really in love with her song called Flawless.  The song Flawless is about us women believing in our true natural beauty and to always work to better ourself and not to please men but to please ourselves. With that motto in my head, I put the shirt on, wore some fancy jewellery and wore a fearless and “flawless” make up look. Some of you might have thought I would do a more natural look, because indeed we are all beautiful naturally. But nothing makes me feel more flawless than an edgy make-up look, cause in the end we should feel free to express our self the way we like. 🙂

F1

The look is very edgy, smoking but still feminine, check out my step by step instructions below:

Eyes

F4

Instructions:

  • For the eyes I basically did a normal Smokey eye look with a twist underneath. I started off with the black eye shadow onto the crease and blended it out on the mid lid with a beige/white colour. Very easy and simple to do.
  • I also used a brown colour on the crease to blend the black with the white, which unfortunately isn’t that visible due to my low quality camera.
  • What makes the look stand out is the purple cream eye-shadow which I applied under the lower lashes moving further out, under the black eyeliner.
  • Of course you cannot finish the look without the usual eyeliner and mascara

Products:

  • NYX Palette
  • Wjon purple cream eye-shadow
  • MAC gel liner
  • Benefit They’re real Mascara

F2

Cheeks and Lips

  • For the cheeks I used a little bit of bronzer (but not as much as it looks in the photo hehe which reminds me, to but a good camera) and then applied a reddish tone blusher.
  • As for the lips I used the natural pinkish colour lipstick

Well I hope you liked this look, it is a very simple look so you can try it easily at home. If you love Smokey eyes but want to try something different use a pop or colour under the lower lashes, believe me you will look great. Remember if you have small eyes, it is better to use coloured eyeliner, and make it very thin.

Event | Pupa Milano – Pupa Princess Christmas Collection

Christmas came early thanks to Pupa Milano in Malta as we were showcased their gorgeous Christmas Collection called Pupa Princess.  I was invited for a lovely bloggers night by Stephanie from Medimports, at the at the Sensations Wine Bar in Birkirkara. It was a great night, filled with lots of Pupa fabulous products, wine and some delicious food.

Stephanie gave us a little presentation about the Pupa Milano brand and the new Christmas collection which I absolutely adore, and then were allowed to try out the products ourselves and even take some of them home to try.
1
For those of you that never hear about Pupa Milano, it is 40 years Italian brand in Milan. They are synonymous with their beautiful and innovative designed palettes. Being that I have 3 older sisters, I remember this brand from a very young age, as they would get these cute Pupa dolls as a present. I would stare at them as they opened these dolls and applied their make-up on.
2
Over the years they have evolved to more high quality make up and not just make-up dolls. They have been focusing a lot more on the formula so that the product not only looks good but also works wonders. I simple love their packaging it’s so sleek, simple, and  it shows in their products that they pay a lot of attention to detail, pretty much how they do in the fashion world.
3
Now let’s talk about Pupa Princess Limited Edition Collection which is this year’s Christmas collection. The colours are soft hues of nudes, pinks, teil, brown and of course a little bit of glitter being that it’s the festive season. What I simple love about Pupa collections in general is that they are perfect for women of any age. To view the whole collection, do check their website here.
4
I cannot wait to try out the products I got and review them for you guys. Last but not least Thank you Pupa Milano for such a wonderful night and for these products, I get to try 😀
I would also highly recommend the Sensations Wine bar at Bkara, the wine, food and service was excellent and the place is very nice and cosy.
For more information about Pupa Milano products and stockists, like their Facebook page here.

NYX- The Ultimate Pearl Shadow – Bronze Pearl

Hello guys, Today I will review another product I got from NYX which is this Ultimate pearl shadow in Bronze Pearl . This eye-shadow is one from the vast selection of colours from this range. All seem to be very vibrant and have that pearl-like pigmentation that can make your eyes stand out. NYX  have been creating very good quality shadows for a while now and this pearl shadow definitely keeps up with the standard.
e1

Pros:

  • Very good Pigmentation, i love the texture of this shadow
  • I like the black sleek packaging with it’s transparent lid
  • It has a good amount of product so it will probably last me for long time
  • It is easy to blend and it is also buildable.
  • The price of this eye-shadow is about 5 euros which can be seen as a little pricey for some being that it’s a single eye-shadow, but as I said before it has a lot of product.

e4
e2
Cons:

  • It is a little bit too glittery for my taste, some of you might like the glitter but for me it doesn’t do it.

e3
Will I ever buy this product again? Well I’m not sure if i’ll buy the same colour but might purchase another one in a different colour.
Do I recommend it? I do recommend them especially if you like shimmery glittery shadows, but if you don’t check out some other great shadows which NYX have, they are worth every penny. For the Maltese they are available at Tower Road, Sliema.

Have you tried these shadows? give me your opinion down below 🙂 thank you for following, keep posted

Pretty Devil – Halloween Make-up Look

Hello guys,

As you all know Halloween is round the corner, which is why I did this make-up look just for you guys. I wanted to do an artistic version of the pretty devil, which is a bit different from what we usually see on Halloween. It was really fun for me doing this look, I love using my artistic skills to transform myself into different characters.

5

This look may not be easy for some to do, however you can take some of the aspects of my look and transform them into something else, but quite similar. I will try to explain in brief the process and show you how it was done.

7

Eyes
Instructions:

  • It started this look by using a primer all over the eyelid and even on my brows, then I applied a little bit of a shimmery shadow under the brows.
  • Then I applied a red eye-shadow all over the lid and outwards and topped on some burgundy shimmery colour.
  • I used the same technique under the eyes, and onto the cheek bone and lined it all out with a black eyeliner and finally layers of mascara.
  • I do suggest fake eyelashes for this look it will make it even more dramatic, but if you don’t like having fake lashes, mascara should be more than enough

Products:

  • Urban Decay Potion Primer Eden
  • Make up store Michroshadow in Satin – white shimmer
  • Elf 100 palette – red colour
  • Fraulein 38 – Nude Palette – Shimmery Burgundy Colour and Black
  • Barry My Eliner
  • Collection big fake ultimate Mascara

Cheeks
I applied the Primak- Sunkissed bronzer to contour my face and MAC breeze on top of it, to give it that reddish look.

3
Lips
MAC Ruby Wood and Black eye-shadow to contour the lips.

NYX – The Curve Eyeliner

Hey guys,

On my last visit to the NYX store I bought this new Curve eyeliner which I have been using for the last month. The eyeliner comes into this amazingly designed tool with a sponge pen applicator. If you have read my previous reviews on eyeliners, with this type of applicators, you would know how much I actually dislike them. However this product changed my mind completely.

N1

First of all let’s talk about the packaging of this eyeliner, what is there to say but “well done”. Finally design and make-up are coming together to create a comfortable way for us to apply make-up not only on ourselves but even on our clients. I love how the eyeliner is designed for the index finger to fit in perfectly, so that it makes the application way easier. The eyeliner can be a bit difficult for some to apply, so this definitely will help. “Design” does definitely “meet it’s function”.

N2

Now let’s talk about the eyeliner itself, finally an eyeliner that comes out of a sponge applicator that works properly. Usually eyeliners with this type of applicator do not transfer well, smudge and you cannot apply a thin liner because the product doesn’t come out well. However to my surprise this is the opposite, it transfers well and it is a very nice dark black. You can apply a thin layer if you don’t want a heavy liner and it doesn’t smudge. Did I mention that this eyeliner is also waterproof? yes it is and a very good one. It is great to take with you on holiday as it takes only a few minutes to apply.

N3

This lovely liner retails for about €14 which can be seen a bit pricey for an eyeliner but believe me it’s worth it. I am really loving the eyeliner and I will purchase this eyeliner again once it finishes. I really have nothing bad to say about this eyeliner, I am truly loving it :). For all the Maltesers you can find this gorgeous eyeliner at the NYX store in Sliema, do check it out.

Have you tried this gorgeous liner ? would love to read your comment down below. Thank you for following, keep posted for more

Eyebrow Tutorial

Hello beautiful people,

Last week I was watching a lovely eyebrow pictorial from the lovely Nicole from Nicole’s Beauty blog which you can visit here. She did this lovely eyebrow pictorial and transformed her eyebrows to perfection. I have to admit, I do not give a lot of attention to my brows :O shame on me hehe. Being that now eyebrows are given a major importance in make up looks, I shall show you my own method of creating the “perfect” brows.

Eyebrow

  1.  In the first picture you are seeing my natural brows with some Vaseline to help them stay put. I start by applying a dark brown almost black, kohl eyeliner.
  2. Then I use a white eye pencil and outline my eyebrows, to give them a defying shape.
  3. I blend the white pencil and apply come concealer that matches my skin colour.
  4. Finally I bend the concealer and use some powder to help the liner stay put and not smudge.

I do hope you like the eyebrow tutorial, unfortunately the pictures aren’t great but that will do for now. Hopefully in the future I get to purchase a good camera.  Do check Nicole pictorial as it is by far better than mine.

Thank you for following and keep posted as tomorrow I have a new look coming up for you guys. I do hope you like it 🙂

Subtle Pink – Make-up Look

Hey guys,

So about 2 weeks ago, I went to the Isle of MTV and I wore this pink make-up look, which I grew fond of. I have to admit I am not a pinky person when it comes to eye-shadows but in Summer I do like to experiment with colors.  So get ready for some colorful make-up looks :).

P1

For this look I used 2 main palettes, the e.l.f 100 shades palette and the Fraulein 38. This is the list of products and step by step instructions:

P4

  1. First I applied a thin layer of concealer using the Make up store covering cover all concealer.
  2. Then I used a matte white colour from the Fraulein neutral palette and applied it under my brows and on the inner corner of my lid.
  3. On the middle of my lid I used a bronze colour and blended it with a light pink colour.
  4. For the crease I used a brown colour and applied a vibrant pink on the inner corner of my eyes.
  5. Finally I applied the maybelline gel liner and Loreal Mascara.
  6. As for the lips I used the MAC Viva glam by Nicky and for the cheeks the Marbert pink blusher and elf bronzer st.lucia.

Let me know in the Comment section if you would you wear this look. 🙂

Wet n Wild Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner

Hey guys,

Today I will review the waterproof Wet n Wild creme eyeliner that I bought a few months ago. It was super hard to find this eyeliner, because they don’t sell wet n wild here in Malta and I wanted it so bad. Especially after reading a lot of good reviews about this product. Many of the reviews mentioned this eyeliner to be as good as the mac gel eyeliner, if not ever better. I never tried the MAC gel eyeliner but might purchase it someday. As I already mentioned this eyeliner was super hard to find but managed to find someone that sold it on eBay.

(Sorry most of the pictures aren’t my own as I forgot to take pictures before I used the product.)

I have to admit I had high expectations about this eyeliner from the reviews I read, so when I tested it after a while, I was a little bit disappointed. Mind you, it is a good eyeliner, very creamy and little goes a long way but I still found it to smudge a little bit. However that happens with most eyeliners so I cannot be too picky, but it also fades after some time especially if you have oily skin. But If you a primer it lasts a good 6-8 hours which is pretty good for such a cheap eyeliner.

Wet n Wild Mega Eyes Creme Liner 2 Wet n Wild Mega Eyes Creme Liner Swatches, Photos & Review

Wet n Wild Mega Eyes Creme Liner 3 Wet n Wild Mega Eyes Creme Liner Swatches, Photos & Review

The packaging is overall OK, not a fan about the plastic as I find that the plastic makes the product dry faster. It comes with a nice small brush which allows to make a perfectly winged eyes, but the product dries on it very quickly so I have to wash it daily!

20130705_080944

swatch

Overall it is a good eyeliner so I can’t complain but not super impressed by it, and I think is better than the E.L.F eyeliner. So as you can see I have mixed ideas about this eyeliner, I don’t think it’s bad but neither too good. If it didn’t smudge I would definitely love it, because it does stay for a long time and the black is very dark, just how I like it. But I cannot complain too much, after all it is quite a cheap eyeliner, abroad you might find it for 4 to 5 euros, but It did cost me more to get it to Malta but it was still worth it.

That’s all from me guys, have you tried this eyeliner?

xoxo
