Purple and Pink Smokey _Make-Up Look

Hello guys,

I hope you are having a great weekend so far and getting pumped up for another week. I am very excited to finally cover a Make-up look I did yesterday, on my blog. It’s an ideal look for a date night or a special occasion, especially since now that the wedding season is here. You can wear this look if you are wearing a touch of purple or pink or even if you are wearing a simple black dress, it will pop up your whole look.

L3

Keep on reading if you want to know what products I used and how to create such a look 🙂 Please keep in mind that you can recreate this look with any similar product you might have:

Instructions:

Base

I always start my make-up look with a primer, this time I used the Pupa B.B cream powder which I also reviewed this week. It is a great product to help with any redness and it moisturizes as well. Then I move on to my foundation and I apply the Vichy Dermablend number 25 on all my face (do not forget your neck and cleavage area, if you are showing some 😛 ) then I use the Dermablend number 45 (or 2 tones darker than your skin colour) to contour my face.

When I contour I like to leave the bronzer or foundation untouched then I blend it in after a few minutes,. To finish up my base I apply the Dermablend number 15 which is the lightest shade on my T zone and under my eyes. Never forget to apply powder to set all of your foundation. I like to use a light powder for my t zone, than a translucent powder for the rest of my face. For which I used the NYX stay matte but not flat powder in 01 and Essence all about Matt translucent fixing powder.

L1

Eyes

I like to start my eye look with an eye-shadow primer, this is ideal for weddings since you are probably going to party the night away, and you definitely want your eye-shadow to remain intact. My favorite is the Urban Decay potion primer Eden it gives a nice tint to my shadows and it remains intact. Then I start by applying a mauve shade my the Body shop, it a nice light brown shade that helps to serve as a base for the whole smokey look.

On the eyelid I used the Kiko Colour Fever eye-shadow palette 101, it has 2 beautiful dark purple colours which have a lovely frosty finish. Then on the outer corner and the crease I applied the Make Up Store Choco D’or, a beautiful dark brown shadow with gold tone. Make sure not to forget to apply a nice matte white shade ( Make up store- White and Satin) for under the brow bone and a nice shimmer white shade on to the inner corner of your eyes, for definition.

Last but not least a nice winged liner using Kiko Precision Eyeliner, for this look I also applied the liner under my eyes and onto the inner corner. Finally pump up my lashes with some mascara using the Essence Get big lashes. Feel free to apply some fake lashes for the occasion.

L2

Cheeks and Lips

For the cheeks I used a nice Pink tone blusher by Make Up Store called Glam Rose, and for a nice glow I applied the beautiful highlighter by Soap and Glory called Glow all out, on my cheeks, nose and forehead .For the lips I used 2 types of lipsticks, instead of using a lip liner, I applied the gorgeous Pink Make up Revolution Salvation Lip Lacquer called What I believe and then Make Up Store Mandy a beautiful Fuchsia Lipstick. Having these two together made my lipstick last longer and it looked bolder and brighter. Love it <3

Well that is all for now, I do hope you enjoyed this look. Feel free to comment and show some love by following my blog, here on facebook and blogloving. I love to get your feedback 🙂

Wish you all a great Sunday, lots of LOVE

Makeup Revolution- Liquid Eyeliners

Hello guys,

Finally I am have my blogging muse once again and I will start doing reviews of some of my favorite and even least favorite beauty products.

Today I want to talk about 2 of my favorite liquid eyeliner by Make-up revolution, the “Amazing Eyeliner in black” and waterproof and the “Awesome Eyliner felt and Kohl”.

Eyeliner1

I have to say that these are the best eyeliners that you shall find, at this ridiculous cheap price. There are definitely other good eyeliners in the market but I haven’t encountered good ones that are this cheap, cause for sure they all cost more than 6 euros minimum.  The “Amazing” liner costs 1.50 sterling (approx 2:50euros)while the “Awesome” liner is 3.50(approx 5 euros).

Eyeliner3

From their names you can realize that they were not kidding when they named these liners “Awesome” and “Amazing“, cause they are indeed. My favorite is the waterproof version of amazing cause it doesn’t smudge and it stays put a whole day. I also love the thin brush, as it give you the ability to draw at any thickness you need. But it is also slightly firm, especially for those that find it tough to apply eyeliner. Another good factor is that it will last you for a good 3 months, if you apply eyeliner often, it might even last you longer.

Eyeliner2

Then the Awesome liner is a perfect eyeliner for when you are on the go and you feel kinda lazy to be painting the Mona liza a winged liner.  It has 2 felt pens one is thin and the other is thicker for when you want to be a little bit more adventurous. The only downer is that it isn’t waterproof, so if by any chance you decide to touch it, it will transfer. But if it doesn’t rain and you are not watching the Notebook, you don’t have to worry about your eyeliner. It will remain intact.

Overall I am pretty pleased with these liners, I use them everyday for work. I love how easy I can create any shape and thicknesses with both liners, but my fav has to be the Amazing liner. Also that it is a very dark black colour, cause some liners to be a charcoal grey rather than an actual black. Of course you can find these beauties at their own website, and I suggest you to stock these as much as you can 😀

Nat1

Have you tried them out? if so let me know what you think 🙂 Please don’t forget to show some love and like my facebook page and you can also follow me on Instagram and Bloglovin

Fun times at the Artisan Market

12963889_10153664475078160_2311367499059369672_n

Hello Guys,

I do hope you had a fun weekend that made Monday less tough to wake-up to. Yesterday, after a lot of nagging from my boyfriend we went to the Artisan Market in Fort St.Elmo, and I enjoyed it. Not that I don’t usually like Markets, but most of time there are the same things I’ve already seen over and over again. However this time it was different as new entrepreneurs are coming with creative ideas.

12963629_10153664475123160_4282576479013772295_n

The first set-up which struck me the most is the Undressed brand, which consists of artisan sugar scrubs using natural ingredients for hand and body. I really liked their initiative of having people try their products right there and then. Cause when you get to try a product, and you test it out, if it’s right, it will win you over.

13010022_10156764658985103_876497547_o

Their products definitely won me over, especially their Oatmeal and Coconut Scrub which I shall review in another post. They have a variety of scrubs and all are used for different reasons. Some to treat certain issues and other to relax and stimulate your body. I do suggest that you visit and like their facebook and keep yourself updated with their products.

Another set-up which I particularly loved, was the Patches and Bonnets Vintage inspired Jewelry. The style of Jewelry is a mixture of Victorian with a touch of modern patterns and cartoon imagery. I really loved the cute little books, and floral patterns and all the other tins trinkets she manages to come up with. All of which is handmade using both new and recycled material. I also got myself a cute necklace and some funky earrings which are ideal for a casual night out.

You shall find more information on where to find these cute pieces of handmade jewelry on the her facebook page.

Show some love to Maltese talent and check them out. In the meantime here’s what this curvy blogger was wearing for a Saturday night out. 😀

MAC Candy Yum Yum Lipstick – Review

Hello there,

It is finally Spring 😀 My fave time of they year and what better way to start spring than to try out new lipstick shades. As you all know, I have quite the MAC lipstick crush, I just love every lipstick from MAC. It partly their fault for making fabulous lipstick colours, that have the best quality pigmentation. Till now I have about 20 lispticks but I am pretty sure the collection will grow.

To make it worse they have finally opened their stores in Malta AHHHHHHHH 😀 That was my inside voice screaming with happiness. I still haven’t visited their stored yet, deep down I really really want to but I have other priorities at this moment that need me to save up some money. So I will be a good girl, till the right time come 0:)

Candy Yum Yum3

One of the latest addition to the MAC family is the Candy Yum Yum bright Pink lipstick. This might be the brightest and most shocking pink lipstick I own, which might scare a couple of people from actually wearing it. But if you have seen my make-up looks you know I am not scared of being bold and edgy with my make-up. I have to admit this shade is not ideal for Fall or winter, but since spring is here let’s rock some bright shades.Candy Yum Yum1
The packaging is sleek and bullet shaped as all of their other lipsticks. As for the texture even if its matte, it is on the creamier side especially next to my ruby woo.  The lipstick stays on, like forever, and applies like a dream. For some this might be a bit pricey to afford, but it’s worth all the money, once you try them you will agree.

Candy Yum Yum2

Pros:
• Beautiful sleek black packaging as all other MAC lipsticks
• Creamy texture
• Long lasting between 5-7 hours
• Worth every penny

Cons:
• Nada , nothing

Will I ever buy this product again? I probably will, I think it’s nice to have it in my collection, so if I ever run out, will purchase again

Do I recommend it? Definitely, it’s of the highest quality lipstick and the colour is yummy as candy 😀

Rating: 5/5

Would love to hear from your opinion, if you ever tried this product

Kim Kardashian – Vogue Brasil – Inspired Make-Up Look

Hello dear readers,

Sorry for the slight delay in my posts, however I had some technical issues in my pc. Yet thanks to a little help from my friend, my pc is fully functioning again :). Last week as I was browsing for inspiration, I saw Kim Kardashian cover for Vogue Brasil and I simply loved the make-up. Usually Kim wears heavy make-up, smokey eyes and a lot of contouring. But in this shoot she is wearing a much lighter make-up look. It looks very simple however the techniques used aren’t as simple as it might look.

Inspired Look

Kim1

Instructions:

  • The foundation base has to be very light, do not however go for a lighter shade than your skin tone. Use a lighter shade for your T zone, which is from the middle of your forehead, your nose and under your eyes.
  • As for the eye-shadow I applied a matte while shadow on the brow bone and into the inner corner of the eyes. Then I chose a shimmery white shadow and applied it all over the lid, keep the shadow handy as you might need to apply more in the end.
  • The tricky part is the apply a light brown show onto the crease and try for it not to touch the white shimmer shadow. Blend it lightly and make top more white shadow if needs be.
  • Make sure apply a tick winged eyeliner and some mascara, ideally add some fake lashes. Also fill up those eyebrows with a matching eye shadow. Try not to use pencils.
  • Finally I used a bronzer and highlighted the cheek bone, around the edge of my face, and contoured my nose. I didn’t use any blusher as there is no trace of that in the shoot, but I did apply some skin toned powder for the make-up to set.
  • For the lips I used a nice pink toned natural lipliner and lipstick.

Rabbit Club Malta-Calender Photoshoot

Hello guys,

Last week I was begged to help as a Make-Up artists for the Rabbit Calendar photo-shoot. Of course I didn’t do any make-up on the Rabbits themselves 😛 but I did however do Make-Up on two beautiful women named Svetlana and Miriam. Being that today is mothers day I felt it appropriate to post the photos today being that they are mother and daughter. I was very pleased to do their make-up not only because I love what I do but because they appreciated my work and gave me a lot of positive remarks.

I wish to wish all the Mothers out there a Happy Mothers day, may your daily sacrificed be appreciated and celeberated :D.

Now as for the photo-shoot, the Rabbit Club do an annual Calender shoot were they exhibit their beautiful rabbits which natural gorgeous models. I was asked by the Rabbit club committee to do a very natural make-up look, however being that it’s spring and almost summer I wanted to give that vibe by adding a bit of colour onto the lips. The final photos with the rabbits will be posted at the end of this year however in the meantime I have some beauty shots for the Make-Up I did.

Svetlana

Having beautiful facial feuturs and big eyes to work on I decided to make it a bit heavier than most common natural make-up because on camera it would barely show she has make-up on. I still used natural bronze colours on the eyes, using gold and brown shadows and a thin eyeliner. Then I applied a nice pink shade on the lips. This is not a natural look for an evening out but it is when it is for a photoshoot. I have tested make-up on camera and have learned a lot along the way.

CalendarShoot1

CalendarShoot2

Miriam

Before I explain the look, Miriam is on her 50’s and she is simply stunning for her age. I truly wish I look as good as she does at her age.  Make up on a more mature women should be as lighter as possible, using lighter foundation and lighter colours. When you apply heavy a darker shade of foundation or eye-shadows on a mature women, it might make her look older than she is, and we definitely don’t want that. I used similar colours as Svetlana but made sure to use less product. Finally being that Miriam has beautiful pouty lips I applied a nice light pink shade and Voilaa.

Pupa Milano – Autumn Collection 2014 – I’M – 002 Berry Voilet

My apologies to Pupa Milano for the late review however its not easy to find time to blog, when you have a full time job and other crazy things to do.  Last Autumn, I received this gorgeous by Pupa and I was happy like a bird cause it was a tint of colour I have been searching for a while. It is very similar to the MAC Rebel lipstick, but being that at the moment  M.A.C is in-existing in Malta ( not for long 😀 ) I tried to find something similar in other brands.
Im1
The colour is a beautiful plum colour with a mix of purple.  Even though I am very late only reviewing this lipstick, they still have I’M lipstick which very similar in texture and quality. You might not find the same colour but I find the Burgandy 308 to be very similar. So check that out.
What I like about the lipstick is that it’s creamy and very soft on the lips, but also I find it makes my lips fuller, a big thumbs up . The colour is highly pigmented and it stays on for those 4 to 5 hrs depends what you’re doing. Not to mention that it’s paraben free.
Im3
 Im4
One of my favorite things is the curved vintage style packaging, being that it’s a limited collection is comes in a gold tone while the other I’M lipsticks are in a silver colour. Who came up with this design deserves a thumbs up, as it gives the lipstick such a luxury feel. This gorgeous Lipstick costs 12.45 euros in Malta, definitely affordable and worth every penny.
Im5
Pros:
  • beautiful very pigmented colour
  • long lasting
  • creamy and light on the lips
  • beautiful vintage packaging
  • affordable

Cons:

  • That it’s a limited edition shade, they should make it permanent 🙁

I hope you liked this review, do check out the Lipsticks from Pupa Milano, they have such a beautiful range.

Wedding Make-Up Look

Before I start explaining this look, I want to apologize for the low quality of the pictures taken. At the moment I am camera-less and I am using my phone, so the quality is not as good. I just ordered a decent digital camera to use in the meantime, as I honestly cannot afford to by a professional SLR camera at the moment. But I am hopeful the quality of the pictures will improve.

Let’s talk about the look, so yeah IT’S WEDDING SEASON. I really get excited during this time, as I get to see what brides get to wear on their wedding day. The look that I created, is what I think would look good on any bride. It’s a very simple make up look, suitable especially for that bride which is not use to wearing a lot of make-up, but would still like to look good for their wedding day.

Bridal Tips:

I see a lot of mistakes in make-up that many make-up artists do on a bride. 1 Never put have make-up on the bride, no matter who’s the client, you have to make them a better version of themselves not transform them into someone else.  2 Never follow the trends, red lips are very much in vogue right now, however they don’t look good on everyone especially on someone with small lips. Also what looks good now, might not look good 20 years from now, so make sure your make-up is timeless.

1

Instuctions:

  • For this look always start with a very good eye primer, you want your make up to stay put as long as possible.
  • After that I start by applying a matte white colour on the brow bone and into the inner corner of the eye.
  • To add to the white I like to use a shimmery beige colour on the white and follow with a gold and peach tone on the middle of the lid.
  • I like to use a frosty brown colour on the outer lid and onto the crease, finishing of with a tint of black colour and blend it all out with a unused brush.
  • Apply a nice sleek eyeliner, make sure it’s not to thin and not to thick and build up the lashes with some mascara. I do suggest individual fake lashes to go with this look.
  • Finally I apply some pink/red blush to create healthy rosy cheeks and very natural lipstick.
  • If you want some color on the lips go for some pink shades. I find it ideal.

Smoking Yellow – Make-Up Look

Spring is not doubt with us and after Easter I was in the mood to lay with bright colours. About two months ago when I was in Italy, I bought this beautiful dress by H&M, and on the front it has these beautiful florals with bright colored jams. So I let the dress inspire me to create this make up look.

Y2

Y4

 Instructions:

  • I always start the make up look by priming my eyes and then fill in my eyebrows with a mixture of brown and black eyeshadow. My eyebrows are a very dark brown colour, almost black so I like mixing both colours.
  • Then I applied a matte white colour on the brow bone and onto the inner corner of my eyes, this is a good trick which will make your eyes bigger and wider than they already are.
  • Following I applied a light brown on to the crease, this will serve as a base for the mixture of shadows, it will help with the blending of the colours. Then I apply a tiny amount of a very brown colour on the outer lid and blend it with the rest, still leaving an empty space on the middle of the lid.
  • Now it’s time to work our way on the middle lid, on which I applied a beautiful bright yellow shade and as usual, blend blend, blend :).
  • Finally I topped more shadow on the outer lid and onto the crease, this time in with a black colour. Finished off by applying eyeliner and mascara.
  • As for the cheeks I used a nice red toned blusher and I left the lips natural as possible using a baby pink neutral lipstick.

Christmas 2014 – Make-Up Look

Hello dear readers,

A while ago before Christmas I did this make- up look for you guys, but due to some technical issue, I couldn’t post it, neither on my blog nor on Facebook. Thankfully the issue is solved now, but unfortunately it made me post this look a bit later.

Before I start describing the look, I do hope you had a lovely Christmas with your loved ones and fabulous start to the New Year. I spent Xmas eve with my best friends, and Xmas day with my crazy family. While NYE was spent with friends once again but in another beautiful country, that of Italy. It was truly a lovely start to the New Year, even-though I wished there were a couple of people with me in Italy, which I truly love and care about, yet I carried them in my heart.

I want to take this moment, to thank all of you which have been following my blog and my work, and have believed in my talent, as a make-up artist and blogger. Always keep in mind, I am still learning and improving and would appreciate your feedback in everything I do.

1

Instructions:

  • The look is quite simple because I haven’t used a variation of colours per se. The eyes are a mixture of light to dark brown colours while for the lips I chosea nice blood-red colour with a tint of purple. I felt that in 2014 we have truly evolved when it comes to wearing bright and bold lipsticks, from Lorde to Beyonce, this was the year where we pushed the extremes with make-up.
  • The blush is a soft red colour mixed with a bit of bronzer to highlight cheek bones.

2

 Products:

  • NYX box of eyeshadows
  • Revlon eyeliner
  • Maybelline Mascara
  • Pupa Milano Autumn Collection -Paris Experience- 002
  • MAC Breeze blusher
  • Make Up Revolution – Bronzer

3

Even-though Christmas has passed this look is pretty much wearable this winter, so feel free to have a try at this look and please tag me on instagram or facebook if you did so :).

Lost of love

XOXO
