Vamp – Make-Up look

Hey guys,

So I did this Make-up look this yesterday and I loved this look so much that I thought of showing it to you guys, before some of the other looks I have prepared already. Being that fall is here and even Halloween is soon to be, I thought of doing a sexy Vampire inspired look. I have been a fan of vampires since I was a teen and at that time there wasn’t such a hype about them. People used to be scared of vampires or find them ugly but now since Twilight came out, everything changed. The actual vampires are known to be very pale because they are dead and their eye lid is quite dark with a red tint. Also watch out for a more natural look for fall below.

Vamp1

So here is my version with my step by step instructions and list of products that I used:

Vamp2

  1. First thing I applied a the face primer by MAC on the lids and then I started the eye-shadow by applying a matte red colour all over the lid. The red colour on the lid, gives the impression that you are sick or even dead in this case and it makes the face look pale. Elf Palette
  2. Then I used a dark purple colour and blended it with the red colour. Elf palette
  3. For the crease I used a black and a dark brown from the Fraulen 38 palette.
  4. Finally I applied the eyeliner using the NYX curve liner (which I will review soon) and Revlon Mascara.
  5. For the cheeks I only used a contouring bronzer by E.l.f being that vampires are pale I didn’t apply any blusher.
  6. As for the lips I used this lovely dark purple colour lipstick which I bought at a flee market, so it doesn’t come from any particular brand.

Vamp3

I also did a more natural look for you guys, basically all I did was remove the dark lipstick and applied a baby pink colour lipstick instead, from MUA. I also added a bit of peach blusher on the cheeks, and there you have a nice look for fall:

Vamp4

I hope you like my version of female version of Vampire make-up.If you wish to wear this look for a night out leave it as it is but if you are interested in wearing this look for Halloween, do add some blood drops next to you mouth and of course some fangs. Also If I find a male model, I will actually do the male version make-up of a vampire.

That is all for now, keep posted for more and thank you for following and feel free to like my Facebook page. Also have any make-up suggestion or you want me to do a particular look for you with step by step pictures, do let me know in the comment below.

Eclipse – Make-up look

Hey guys,

I hope you are having a nice weekend so far. So as promised, here is another make-up look for you guys. This time I decided to do a different smokey eye with a mixture of blue and black. I decided to name this look the Eclipse because it reminded me of the colours you see during the eclipse. During an eclipse all you see is total darkness but there is also a tint of blue, white and brown.

Eclipse2

So here are my step by step instruction and also the list of products I used:

Eclipse1

  • The first thing I applied was my 2 faced primer, which I will review further on and then my make up store shimmer white colour under the brows
  •  I started off my eye-shadow look with a vibrant blue color from the e.l.f 100 palette on the middle of my lid and then blended it out with a darker blue color on the crease and on my waterline.
  • I also applied a tint of black colour onto the crease and finished of the look with a light brown colour on top of the crease. Very important to blended all the colours together.
  • Finally I used my maybelliner gel eyeliner and did a double eyeliner and  then I used the Revlon grow luscious plumpin Mascara.
  • For the cheeks I used the Elf contouring blusher called Turks and Caicos and Marbert peach colour.
  • As for the lips I used the Catrice Color stay – light my fire lipgloss, a very natural peachy colour.

Eclipse3

Well I do hope you enjoyed this look, if you like it please comment down below of like this post. I finally updated a little bit my blog so it is easier for you to follow my blog and even like my facebook page. Thank you so much for following

Blue Moon – Make-up look

Hey guys,

I am always trying my best to come up with great make up look for you guys. If you want me to do a particular look and maybe give you step by step instructions to how you should do it, just comment down below :). I am always looking for something new to try, I love to challenge myself in make-up.

Blue1

Blue moon is basically a blue based make-up look with a twist. I love mixing colours in order to create something out of the ordinary but that it still looks beautiful on the eyes. I have to admit it is getting harder to name my looks, but thanks to my awesome friends they help me come up with these creative names :).

A blue moon is usually used to describe a second full moon in a single solar calendar month, which happens every two to three years (seven times in the Metonic cycle of 19 years)

Blue4

  1. I always start with a white of beige base colour but this time I used the e.l.f eye transformers the yellow tone colour.
  2. On the inner corner of my eye I applied a purple/blueish colour, before applying the mustard colour.
  3. Further on I blended the purple with a turquoise colour and then I used a dark brown colour on the crease with some navy blue.
  4. I also used a tint of black on the crease and of course the mustard yellow colour on the inner corner of the eyes.
  5. Finally I applied my favorite winged liner and some mascara. For the lips I used the Mua lip boom (very similar to viva glam nicky) and for the cheeks elf baked bronzer and mac sheertone blusher.

Well I hope you like this look guys, if you do I would appreciate a like or comment down below. Thank you for following and keep posted for more

Purple Breeze – Make-Up look

Hey guys,

Sorry for not posting much this week, but it was one of the busiest weeks ever. I am part of the ZHN Symphonik Choir and this weekend we had two successful concerts. This week was full of events and rehearsals, that is why I didn’t post much. But here I am with a new look for you guys :).

1

For this look I used a mixture of vibrant colours that fall under the colour purple gradient. I called this look purple breeze because it’s like that lovely feeling you get when there is breeze in the midst of this hot summer. The colours themselves look vibrant and refreshing like a breeze.

2

  • For the inner corner of the eyes I used a vibrant yellow colour, then blended it with light purple pinkish eye-shadow on the middle of the lid.  (e.l.f marble palette)
  • Further on I applied a blueish purple and a navy blue colour on the crease.
  • The eye look is definitely not complete without a black eyeliner and mascara.
  • As for the lips I used the Nicky Minajr Viva glam and for the cheeks the e.l.f bronzer and M.A.C Sheertone blusher breezy.

3

Well guys I hope you like this look, if you do I would appreciate a like or comment down below :). Next week I promise to be more active and post more interesting posts for you guys, keep posted

My Mini OPI Haul

Hey guys :),

So I have a tendency to obsess on different objects at different times. I find something which I am lacking of at the moment and but a lot of options. Recently I had an OPI nail laquer obsession, and bought a couple of products from e-bay.

The first thing I bought was the OPI nail envy for me and my sister, my sister nails were needing some serious treatment and she used my nail envy and fell in love with it. My nail envy is almost finished (thanks to my sister :p), so I bought one for her and one for me. So now she doesn’t have to borrow mine anymore.

20130711_224401

I already reviewed this miracle worker before but as you can see I truly love it. At first I was skeptical because I tried many hardeners before and did nothing for my thin nails, and at first I wasn’t seeing any change. But then I saw miracles after a couple of weeks, my nails truly become harder and grew stronger. Unfortunately recently I went trough a stressful time and my nails become thinner and started chipping again. That means they need a dose of nail envy.20130711_224343

The second thing I bought is the cute Mini set of nail lacquers in neon colours. Being that nails aren’t in the best shape at the moment, I thought by buying this set will make me look more forward to get them in shape :). Also neon colors are very much in vogue nowadays, I personally don’t like them on clothes because I find neon can look a bit trashy. However I do like neon colors on my nails and some type of accessories, especially now in Summer. Can’t wait to try them out and review them for you :D.

That is all for now guys, keep posted for more reviews and interesting make-up looks coming up.

Fraulein 38 – Revitalizing Natural Cover Foundation

Hey guys,

I hope you are having a great Summer so far. I am starting to enjoy this summer and I’m truly loving being able to experiment with vibrant colours and make-up looks. I did a couple of nice looks about a week ago, but I was in such a hurry I didn’t manage to take any photo’s, but will definitely do them again so I can show them to you guys. So keep posted and I promise you guys I will do my best to post as much as I can.

20130705_081322

As most of you already know from my previous posts, when I bought my favorite brushes from Fraulein, I thought I should try some of their other products, so I got the eye shadow palette and one of their foundations. The first thing I liked once I open the box is the nice bronze color packaging with the transparent tube. The pump is firm and easy to use and you can control how much product you want to use.

Swatch

With regards to the foundation itself it gives a nice good coverage which can also be build-able. When I saw the colour on the tube I thought  “danm I must have picked the wrong colour”, it looked so much darker than my skin, but I was wrong, It blended perfectly onto my olive Mediterranean skin. I do find it to be as good as any drugstore brands foundations, and the liquid is quite tick compared to other drugstore brands with makes me quite satisfied. This goes will actually work on all skin types as it dries a little after you apply it, it is more targeted to dry and normal skin but i think even someone with an oily skin can use it but then add some powder over it. I do like how it looks on my skin and it is good for everyday use even on some chillax weekends but wouldn’t use it for a wedding for example.

This is my before an after :

20130705_08143420130705_081711

If I remember well is retailed for about 16euros but I got it for 14euros, which is similar to the price of a drugstore brand. However at the moment they have a further reduction on these foundations, so do check it out on their website.

That is all for now guys, thank you for following

XOXO

Fraulein 38 – 28 Neutral Nude Eye-shadow Palette

hey guys,

Sorry for being M.I.A lately but it’s been quite a week but I am back.Today I am going review the palette I got from Fraulein a while ago. Being that now it is the wedding season, I needed a distinctive palette with neutral colours. I believe that make-up for a bride should be be as natural as possible. You don’t want to look back at the wedding photos and ask yourself “what the hell were you thinking?”. What I mean by natural make-up is not going on your wedding make-up free (not that I am against it) but you don’t want to look pale for the cameras and the photos but instead you should use natural colours that enhance your beautiful features. I might actually do a bridal make-up look sometime soon :).

Fraulein2

Now with regards to this gorgeous palette, it has 28 nude eye shadow palette, comes with an assortment of neutral tones in shimmer and matte effect. 28 colours includes 16 matte and 12 shimmer. Can be used as eye-shadow, bronzes, blush, eyeliners, and shimmer highlighters. The pigmentation of these eye-shadows vary, some are very good , some are okey the rest not so good, but overall I love this palette. I have created some lovely natural looks with this palette and it has some beautiful shades of colours. Sorry I didn’t swatch them all but being that they are plenty, so I swatched some of my favorite colours.

Fraulein1
It comes in a lovely sleek black packaging and I love that is has no mirror and no applicator in it, because it makes it very light to carry around and I don’t need them anyway. This lovely palette retails for only 10.99 euros and the shipping is only 2 euros from their website. It is a great price for such a palette, I definitely recommend this product to any make-up geek like me 🙂

Have you ever tried any eye-shadows from Fraulein 38?

Make up Trends this Spring

Hey guys,

As someone which loves make-up a lot, it is important to keep myself updated with the new styles and trends every season.  Spring is finally here and I did my research on what is in Vogue right now and what was seen on the runway.

Red Signals

At first, it seemed like spring would be a season of pale lips. At Prada, makeup queen Pat McGrath went for a matte crimson, outlining the outermost part of lips in red pencil that accentuated the shape of the mouth (tip: this makes lips look bigger and fuller). All told, the season’s rouges ranged from pinky-red at Missoni and Oscar de la Renta to the classic power red at Jean Paul Gaultier to the dark and dramatic black cherry at Jonathan Saunders, proving the enduring appeal of being in the red. Not much is going on with the eyes as it is very natural to extenuate the lips.

Featured: Dolce & Gabbana

Eyeliner In Full Effect

Ever since the cat-eye trend hit last year, eyeliner has become a newfound essential.  It’s a downtown look that went a bit uptown at Chanel where makeup artist Peter Philips created striking contrast with his jet black liner by swiping on a platinum shadow over the lids, giving us inspiration for how to dress up a few simple strokes for day to night

Lush Lashes

60’s are back from the inky, Twiggy-like fringe seen at Gaultier to the curled and combed up look at Gucci, it’s time to have fun with your lashes this season. For the beauty adventurous, look to the chic-clumpy variety at Véronique Leroy, and our favorite, the heavy lashes offset with white liner—and nails to match—at Moschino.

The Bold And Beautiful Brows

Strong brows proved their staying power again. At Etro, makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury went for a “fresh, clean” nineties-inspired look, which she created by filling in with M.A.C.’s Eye Brow pencils in Fling and Lingering. Meanwhile Estée Lauder Creative Makeup Director Tom Pecheux enhanced the arches of stunners like Arizona Muse at Anthony Vaccarello with the Estée Lauders’s Automatic Brow Pencil Duo in Soft Brown. A handy pro tip: brush brow hairs down to find your natural shape, then fill in sparse areas with a pencil, using short, feathery strokes to shape and even out the contours of your brows.

Seeing Blue And Green

A Mediterranean influence swept the shows, as makeup artists dabbed their eye makeup brushes in shades of turquoise, jade and vibrant aqua. Even though the references supposedly ranged from the psychedelic sixties at Moschino Cheap and Chic to bejeweled butterflies at Gucci, the look wasn’t too wild or extreme for the every day wearer. Try a thin streak of green eyeliner seen at Stella McCartney or Kenzo, a saturated smear of sapphire on the base of lids like at Versus, or a color-blocked etching of royal blue or teal a la Fendi. And for those moments of all-out glamour, place a few sparkles around your eyes like a Gucci model if you dare.

These are the trends this season from bright lips to heavy eyeliner, big brows, fake lashes and colorful eyes. What I noticed is in every look is mostly natural but then they transform each look with something bold like red lips or a bright eye colour.

That is all for now guys but keep posted as I will posted something interesting later on 🙂

Easter Special- Make-up Look

Hey guys,

So Easter is basically at the door, and I thought I get into the festive mood and do a make-up look for you guys. As we all know red is for Christmas and Yellow is for Easter, so I tried to incorporate the colour with my eye shadow. Pulling of a yellow eye-shadow can be tricky so that is why I wanted to show you how you can pull it off. 🙂

1

Now here are the step by step instructions for this Easter special look:

3

1. Like usual I start with a primer/concealer and use a base colour. This time I used the eye transformer palette from e.l.f. It really helps to give a more vibrant look the eye-shadow.

2. I placed a vibrant yellow eyeshadow from the e.l.f 100 palette on all of my lid.

3. I mixed 2 shades of dark brown and placed it all over my crease.

4. Then I applied a thin line of black eye-shadow to give a more defining line between the yellow and the brown.

5 I applied a winged eyeliner using a black eyeliner by golden rose.

6 Finished the eye-shadow look with the Eva Garden Mascara.

For the cheeks I used an e.l.f St.Lucia bronzer to highlight my cheek bone and the Marbert Pink blusher on my cheek. Finally I used the Mac Viva Glam by Nicki Minaj lipstick for a nice overall spring look. This is a beautiful look you can wear for a night out, brunch or dinner. It is also perfect to wear in this lovely sunny weather we have in Malta. The yellow eyes and pink lips are the right mixture of colours for this spring and even in Summer.

2

I hope you like this look and if you do please share this blog with your friends. Keep posted for more
