Anatomicals – Exclusive Pre-Launch in Malta

Listen up men and women, Anatomicals are available in Malta :).If you aren’t familiar with this brand, you are about to be. I honestly wasn’t familiar with them until last month but since I saw these products, I couldn’t wait to try them out. Anatomicals consist of a range of skin care products from soaps to facial creams for men and women. What struck me the most is their colorful packaging, and wicked sense of humor. Each product has a funny name and a tag-line which will definitely put a smile on your face.

Anatomicals

You can’t help but notice, that these products sell for a very cheap price. I haven’t seen any skin care products this cheap anywhere. They currently sell at Asos, Tesco and various drugstores in the UK and are also massive hit in Germany. But the best thing is, that now they are available to everyone in Malta and even internationally thanks to a new website called Anatomicals which you can check out here. This website is run by a friend of mine which also has another successful website with products for Men, called Men in Malta. So do check them out.

MeninMalta

I always make sure to research about every products brands, and from what I read people love these products because they are good and inexpensive. The words “Cheap” and “Good”, ring happy bells to us beauty addicts. The awesome thing is I get to try these products first hand :), and once I have truly tested them out, I will give you a more detailed review. All I can say for now is they smell very nice, and I can’t wait to pamper myself with these products. I think they are also a great Idea to give as a birthday present, or maybe stock up for Christmas gifts.

I had a chat with the founder of Anatomicals website in Malta and got to know more about this cool brand. Check them out:

How where you introduced to the brand?

Well it was by chance really I came across their products while I was doing some research online for my other store Men in Malta. Their style of branding caught my eye immediately.  And I could not resist, the sometimes ‘rude’ wording on the backside of the product. I first bought some of their products as testers and I was impressed even more when they arrived. You might as well say it was love at first sight. Despite the fact that they were inexpensive they still delivered to my standards. From there onwards I decided to share these great products with all the cool people in Malta.

What drove you, to start selling them in Malta?

Apart from what I mentioned before, the main reason was that there are so many boring and unappealing products out there, that these are a breath of fresh Air in such a saturated market.  What makes these products unique from the other products in the market is that they are targeted to those that have a cool and wild attitude. So be part of our WILD team one and join our facebook page 🙂

What product do you use a lot?

As a good honorable man that I am, I generally keep a very moderate grooming lifestyle. This consists of a face wash routine, a good scrubbing every 3-4 days and some very basic use of oil control moisturizer. Since these last 9 months I can say that i have constantly been using the memorable daily face wash which is a unisex kind. I made vast use of the man range funnily named manatomicals. In fact I have become quite addicted to their body wash products for men. So good and manly. Another main product was the headache balm which is surely my best friend on bad days. It reduces my ‘throbbing headaches’ to bits which is also great also for hangovers. I am also addicted to the peachy shampoo and most of the hand washes available.

What is the product that you would suggest women to buy?

Well limiting this to one is impossible.. as yet I have not received a negative remark from any woman as they represent a perfect price vs more than average quality for such product. I could easily recommend all the great lip balms and the hottle tottie range.

What is the product you would suggest men to buy?

If you’re a guy like me than I would highly recommend all of the manatomicals range.

So what are you waiting for, go and check these product out on www.anatomicals.com.mt. If you are spending over €20 you get free delivery in Malta and Gozo, so what are you waiting for? 😛

Have you tried any of their products yet ? If so would love to read your comments down below 🙂

Event- The New Dean Gera HairCare in Collaboration with the Make-up Store

Hello guys,

1

This beauty blogger has been quite busy these past 3 weeks, with events and new openings which means that great things are happening in Malta :). I was lucky enough to be invited to the gorgeous new Dean Gera hair salon. The Salon is actually connected to the beautiful Make-up store at the Point shopping complex in Sliema. I have been to the Make-up store a couple of times when it first opened. I have been in love the quality of their make-up and now you can get to have your hair looking good too.

It was a lovely event and we were greeted with some tasteful Martini Royale Cocktails and nibbles. The salon is beautifully designed with the same sleek black and while design as the make-up store has. Me and some other bloggers tried the nice leather Salon chairs and we definitely liked the idea of getting our hair pampered in these comfortable chairs.

Being the make-up addict that I am, I ended swatching most of the make-up store products and ended up buying some of their amazing products. We were given a goodie bag with some nice hair products sample which I can’t wait to try out and also a product from the Make-up store. I will do a  short separate post to show you all the goodies and products 🙂

Price wise Make-up store is very similar to Inglot not too expensive but not cheap either, however in the end you are really paying for the quality you get. Dean Gera Hair Care treatments are quite similar to any other hairdressers I have been to as seen from the list of prices we were given, and they seem quite reasonable.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I highly recommend for you visit both Make up store and the Dean Gera Hair care as you will definitely will enjoy it.

Do check out these other Maltese bloggers that were at the event too:

Great News

Hey guys,

So I got some great news, I am finally going to London for a small holiday. I have never been to London so this should be awesome. I have been wanting to go for a long time and thanks to my friend, I am finally going, WHOHOOO.

I tried to plan the whole thing out so we can manage to do everything, which is basically to see London and do a whole lot of shopping.:D MAC here I come. I need to make a list of the things I should buy so that I don’t end up buying the whole store wherever I go. I have been trying to be very careful with my money so I didn’t purchase much make-up this past 2 months. However I have still a couple of products to review for you guys so keep posted.

I would be more than happy to know what are the things I should get while I’m in London from you guys. I want to buy products that aren’t very much available in Malta, so we’ll see how it goes.

Well that is all for now guys, keep posted for more as I have some exciting posts coming up. The opening of the new NYX shop in Malta and some interesting Make-up looks. Thank you all for following,

XOXO

Emerald Inceptions – Handmade Jewellery by Marcon

Things are certainly progressing both in fashion and in Jewelry design here in Malta. I am seeing a lot of entrepreneurial women out there that are starting to make a new of their own, one of them is Marcon Caruana. Me and Marcon have been knowing each other for a long time but little did I know she had such a talent for jewellery making.

I met this lovely lady last week, as she was exhibiting her work at the Gorygoth Malta shop. By spending a few hours with her, i could see how much passion she has for designing, and how much she loves doing it. They are a part of which is why she gives each item a story, that will someday be part of someone else.

I had to opportunity to ask her further about Emerald Inceptions, check them out:

1.How did Emerald Inceptions start?

Working on crafts has been my passion from when I was a tiny tot. I started with cards for different occasions, and even home accessories. My creativity comes from my parents. My mother was a seamstress, and my father was a carpenter.

Like most girls, I also like fashion, clothing, and shoes. Sometimes, because I did not find what I had in mind or wanted, I would look for things that I have at home (a broken necklace or pieces of watches) and then create a necklace or bracelet from them. The initiative to start my small business started when my fiancé and my family saw some of the things that I had done. So they encouraged me to try, and that’s what I did!

2.What was the main reason you started designing jewellery?

I have always had a passion for jewellery, especially earrings! My own collection of earrings from around the world is over 350 pairs, it was an obvious choice. Now I mainly focus on large statement couture necklaces.

3.Have you ever had any training to develop you skill?

If I see something I like, I need to understand how it’s done, first and foremost in my head, then once I understand the theory, I can work with tools and different materials, think outside the box and make what I see. I watch videos on the internet and have bought a lot of books that have helped me with what I do. What I know I learnt on my own, if there was a chance for me to take a course locally I would.

4.From where do you get your inspiration?

My main inspiration is derived from a beautiful time that has gone by – the Victoria Era. I mix the style of that age, with similar modern styles, namely Steampunk and Goth.I also get a lot of Inspiration from nature, especially the sea, classic literature, British Shabby Chic gusto and French Vintage glam.

5.Do you sketch your design before you start working on a piece or you are driven by the instant?

Most of the time I see the design in my head, rather than sketch it, I grab as many wire or beads as I can and lay it out. This allows me to visualize it first.

6.What is your favorite piece of jewellery that you ever created?

Really depends on my mood. My favorite piece is called ‘Cronos Concubinus’ (yes most of my creations have names to explain the story). This two focal necklace, has the most antique clock part pieces I ever laid my hands on, plus a few more.

I created this haute couture necklace, using very rare trinkets, original antiques, such as the tip of a fountain pen from the 1900’s, two steam watch machines pre-WW1, brass and antiqued bronze charms. The chain work is all handmade, comprising of oval loops and the other strand is tiny propeller style links. The beads used for the center strand of the necklace are mostly light grey jade glass and the center bead is black diamond colour with AB colour Czech polished and multifaceted, super pretty when they catch the light.

The story behind it is that the God of Time (Cronos in Latin) had a lover (Concubinus in Latin) – that is why two focal – and the couple, even though two individuals, create a beautiful harmony together which is this couture one of a kind necklace.

7.It is common that most designers develop a certain bond with their designs; do you find it hard to sell a piece of jewellery that you have worked so hard on?

Yes!!! I cried and was shaking when I sold my previous favourite items. It is so emotional for me to find a buyer for my pieces, because we instantly connect. Knowing that there is another person out there that understands and loves your creation is a beautiful experience for which I am very thankful for and motivates me.

8.What is the future for Emerald Inceptions?

Keeping a constant progress to me is very important. Staying in touch with my current clients and understanding the potential for future ones takes time. I am now more determined to create more awareness about mixed media art jewellery and continue to spread the word about Steampunk locally.

However in the next few months a massive change will happen to EI which I cannot reveal for now 😉 But it will be amazing!

I can’t wait to hear the good news for Emerald Inceptions :). Btw watch this lovely braclet I got and some pictures of the display and work by Marcon:

Event – Caps and Stones – Yana’s Jewellery and LD Collaboration

Hey guys,

So last week, I had the opportunity to visit this lovely event by two talented designers. Called caps and stone at Yana’s Jewellery store.

DSC01962

I was introduced to Yana thanks to my lovely blogger friend Martina from All things Fabulous. It was a lovely event, and it is nice seeing Maltese designers come up with great products and great ways to make a name for themselves. Being a designer myself, I know how hard it can be to actually succeed as designer here in Malta, so it’s always nice to see this happen.

2

I have the opportunity to talk to these lovely designers for a small amount of time, and it was interesting that they didn’t initially collaborate on the pieces they displayed. They actually created the pieces separately buy they synced completely together.

If you want to know more about the designers, do check Martina’s interview which you can check here.

I will definitely visit the store again and buy me a lovely necklace as they are simple gorgeous. Even the print on the caps and t-shirts are beautiful and lively, perfect for this Summer. Simply a well done for such an artistic event.

Xoxo
