Primark – £1 Lipsticks

Hello guys 🙂
A while ago in London, as I was waiting after a long line to try some of the clothes I picked at Primark, there was this beauty section full of cute make-up products and pretty stuff. Being of course the beautyholic that I am, I had to pick a few items from there and I got these 3 beautiful lipsticks and a bronzing powder. There were some other products, like small nail polishes, and cute lipglosses into the shape of a cupcake and even mascaras and eyeliners but they didn’t impress me much.
1

I chose 4 colours, not sure if they had more colours, but if they did’t take more because I either didn’t like colour or probably have something similar.  Unfortunately they have no names on them so I made names for them myself. 1 The ” Flirty Fushia” is another lovely pink colour more on the darker side, it transfer pretty well and it can be worn in any season. The “Orangy Red” is another lovely orange-red colour, reminds me of the NYX coral colour I have, but this one is shimmer and not matte. 3 The  “Barbie Pink” is a very bright pink, which unlike what it looks like in tube itself it’s a very light pink. I really like this color and would definitely prefer it on me in Summer rather than in Winter for some reason.  4 Last but not least the “Pinky Purple”, this colour is a mixture of pink and purple fused together into one gorgeous colour, I don’t have anything like this colour in my collection, it very pretty. A perfect colour for Winter and would look gorgeous in Summer too. The Flirty Fushia and Pinky Purple are very similar but the Pinky purple is lightly darker.

3

Pros:

  • I am pretty impressed with the quality of these lipstick for it’s cheap price.
  • They are creamy and most of the transfer pretty well
  • The darker colours have some pretty staying power. They don’t have the staying power as great brands like MAC but they are as good as any other drugstore brands I have tried.
  • Did I mention they only cost for £1, that pretty ridiculous. They are as good as some of the lipsticks I have tried from some other drugstore and wayy cheaper.

2

Cons:
  • I honestly would give this product any cons being that it’s ridiculously cheap, but I have to say the lid comes off very easily, so be careful how to you store them or how you put them if your handbag.

Will I ever buy this product again? Definitely, if I’m ever in London again for sure, I love the colors and they are so cheap.

Do I recommend it? I recommend it to anyone, they are very good for their inexpensive price, I used them all the time.

NARS – Blusher – Deep Throat

Hey guys,

I guess it’s time to review my second product I got from Nars. If you haven’t seen my other review for the Nars bronzing powder Laguna go here.

N5

I have only tried these two products from NARS and yes I fell in love with them. NARS products are very expensive for me but they are completely worth the price, you are really buying a high quality product. Deep Throat is a beautiful middle tone between peach and pink, it has this slight shimmer which is like a more like a highlighter it gives this lovely natural glow to the cheeks. Being that at the moment I have this nice tan I have to apply a little more product so that the product is actually visible but I think in winter it would look amazing.

N4

The beauty of it that it’s so natural and you can wear it for every occasion if it’s for daytime or night time. It also doesn’t conflict with any other makeup, or wardrobe, it is very not distracting. NARS also have a popular blusher called Orgasm, which is this quite similar but more on a pink tone than Deep throat and much more shimmery, because of the shimmer Deep throat is somewhat preferred more by customers.

N3

The blush is very much buildable, but I don’t know if anyone darker than medium complexion would be able to enjoy this blush, because it is pretty sheer on the skin. I am quite light in general, so I actually prefer the sheerness because I don’t have to apply to carefully, or spend much time blending out the color.

N2 N1

I am slowly falling in love with this brand, and am so happy that I had the opportunity to have these babies :). Well that is all for now guys, keep posted for more as one of my family members might actually be on this blog 😀

Nars – Bronzing Powder Laguna

Hey guys,

Before I start reviewing this amazing product, kindly notice that I have made a few changes on this blog. Not only design wise but even an easier way for you to follow me either on wordpress or by email and even to access my Facebook page. I hope you like it and would appreciate any further comments.

Nbronzer1

Now back to my review, as you already know I won 2 products by Nars from the lovely blogger Flora, on her giveaway. I tried this bronzing powder and was simply impressed by how it applies and it’s silk-like pigmentation. It has a slightly yellow bronze undertone which looks devine. However the texture of this bronzer isn’t completely matte but it also doesn’t have shimmer or glitter. It has what I would call a natural finish and looks like skin when applied. I think some matte bronzers are overly matte and look more fake than anything. Laguna is perfect for most skin tones. I thing this will do for both Summer and fall, however if you get really darkly tanned in summer or have a deep skin tone, NARS has another bronzer called Casino which is also reviewed very well.

Nbronzer2 Nbronzer3

Laguna blends nicely, it goes on a little sheer but I don’t mind as it allows more control of how dramatic of a look you are going for. Did I mention how gorgeous their packaging is? It is so sleek and black with a big NARS written on it, but at the same time it has this soft texture which make it fit nicely in my hands. Due it’s texture it can get quite dirty easily but it can be easily removed with a wipe. The only cons about this product is that it is quite pricey for a single bronzing, I checked on the website and it costs about €36. However you are paying for what you get, the quality is impeccable and the casing is quite big so you get a good amount of product.

Well I hope you like my review, if you have any further questions about this product or if you tried this product and want to share your opinion, feel free  to share in the comment section below.

MAC Retro Matte – Ruby Woo Lipstick

Nothing can explain my love for this particular lipstick. No review can give justice to such a lipstick. Yes I am falling in love with a lipstick, I might sound crazy but you have to give it a shot to test how good it is.

1

Well I bought the Ruby woo because recently I have heard a lot about it, being that it is very similar to the Lipstick Rihanna launched with MAC, called Riri Woo. I couldn’t find a good price for Riri woo but I did find a good price for Ruby woo, so I got it. I tested it out about a month ago, as I went for some drinks with my girls. I drank, I eat, and I drank some more an this lipstick stayed put all night. I was so impressed, I never had a lipstick which I didn’t have to reapply in a few hours. It stayed put for over 5 hrs If I recall so that is definitely a 5 star when it comes to longevity. It also doesn’t stain the teeth as it happens with most red lipsticks, and I even noticed it doesn’t stain glasses, when I drink.

2

The colour is a gorgeous red matte lipstick, it doesn’t have an orange tint like most red lipsticks, it is just perfectly matte red. It reminds me of how it was back in the 50’s, I felt like I was channeling my inner Marilyn Monroe. 🙂 Of course the pigmentation is just divine but unfortunately it can be a little bit drying on the lips, so for winter you definitely need to wear a lip balm underneath.

Apart from the colour, I love M.A.C lipstick packaging, being in one of my favorite colour, Black. I also can’t get enough of the lovely smell all M.A.C lipsticks have. If you love red lipsticks, this is definitely a lipstick you have to have.

Well that all for now, I think I shared enough love for this lipstick :P. What do you think about this gorgeous lipstick ? Have you ever tried it?

MUA £1 Lipsticks – Review

Hey guys,

I hope you are all having a great week so far. Recently I was going trough my lipstick collection and realized that I haven’t reviewed and of the Make-up Academy Lipstick I bought last time. The thing that sold me immediately about these lipsticks is the price. I mean £1 for a lipstick is just ridiculous so of course I bought some from their range. I honestly didn’t expect for these lipsticks to be of good quality but to my surprise they actually are.

Swatches

I am gonna be honest, not all of them were to my liking but I truly loved most of them. Some of the colours are really gorgeous and you are getting the quality similar to that of a drugstore brand. The consistency is pretty creamy and the finish is glossy. Some of the shades have got a rather chunky glitter in them, some of the shades are just pure pigment. I find that pigmentation varies from shade to shade, usually lighter shades are very sheer, but buildable and darker shades stain my lips in one sweep!

Shade12 Shade5 Shade3

The lasting power is not the greatest, but for the price, you just keep reapplying. They don’t fade in chunks or bits, they don’t dry my lips out too much, as you’d expect for a pound, and I actually find them rather moisturizing and that does not happen too often. I do recommend that you use lip balm or a lip salve after you a day of wearing these, as they sometimes tend to have a strange ‘post-wear’ effect on my lips, when the edges of my lips go a tad flakey, but as long as I slap on some effective lip balm, it’s all good. The scent of these lipsticks is like a strong vanilla, which might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I love it.

Overall, I have to say, I’m in love with these. I understand that for some of you they might be more or less drying, you might not be the biggest fan of the lasting power, but they are worth giving a shot, as you just might be as lucky as I am and get on with them like I do. I definitely recommend these lipsticks and might actually buy some more next time.

Have you ever tried these lipstick? What do you think?

These type of eye-shadows are amazing, very pigmented and apply on the skin beautifully. I have used this eye-shadow for a couple of make-up look and I truly love the double colour effect it has. There about 20 different colors of these type of eye-shadows and they only for 5.90 euros each.

These are some of the colours that are available from the range:

Have you tried any of these faboulus eye-shadow, would love to hear your comment about them.

Thank you for following, keep posted for more

E.L.F HAUL -Baked Bronzer

Hey guys,

Every month I look at my make up and see what I have missing that I really need. I realized that I didn’t have any bronzer compacts and the one I have are slowly coming to an end. I usually use the bronzers I have on my e.l.f complete the look palette which are quite good but unfortunately when you apply it once a lot of products comes off.  So recently with the 50% offer I got these two Baked Bronzers in 2 colors. I got St. Lucia and Los Cabos.

DSC00917

Los cabos and St Lucia

DSC00908

St.Lucia is a light bronzer color while the Los Cabos is a bit darker. I have to say I quite like these bronzers, they do not have any shimmer and give a nice bronze glow when applied. The pigmentation is OK but could be better because you need to apply it a couple of time to deliver the right pigmentation. These are perfect to either use them as a contouring blush for Winter or else as a nice bronzing color for Summer.

The packaging is also nice as it has a nice transparent lid and  it only costs £3.75 which is incredibly cheap. I do recommend it to anyone, as who wouldn’t want a cheap nice looking bronzer?  🙂

That is all for now, keep posted for more reviews and make up looks
