Makeup Revolution- Liquid Eyeliners

Hello guys,

Finally I am have my blogging muse once again and I will start doing reviews of some of my favorite and even least favorite beauty products.

Today I want to talk about 2 of my favorite liquid eyeliner by Make-up revolution, the “Amazing Eyeliner in black” and waterproof and the “Awesome Eyliner felt and Kohl”.

Eyeliner1

I have to say that these are the best eyeliners that you shall find, at this ridiculous cheap price. There are definitely other good eyeliners in the market but I haven’t encountered good ones that are this cheap, cause for sure they all cost more than 6 euros minimum.  The “Amazing” liner costs 1.50 sterling (approx 2:50euros)while the “Awesome” liner is 3.50(approx 5 euros).

Eyeliner3

From their names you can realize that they were not kidding when they named these liners “Awesome” and “Amazing“, cause they are indeed. My favorite is the waterproof version of amazing cause it doesn’t smudge and it stays put a whole day. I also love the thin brush, as it give you the ability to draw at any thickness you need. But it is also slightly firm, especially for those that find it tough to apply eyeliner. Another good factor is that it will last you for a good 3 months, if you apply eyeliner often, it might even last you longer.

Eyeliner2

Then the Awesome liner is a perfect eyeliner for when you are on the go and you feel kinda lazy to be painting the Mona liza a winged liner.  It has 2 felt pens one is thin and the other is thicker for when you want to be a little bit more adventurous. The only downer is that it isn’t waterproof, so if by any chance you decide to touch it, it will transfer. But if it doesn’t rain and you are not watching the Notebook, you don’t have to worry about your eyeliner. It will remain intact.

Overall I am pretty pleased with these liners, I use them everyday for work. I love how easy I can create any shape and thicknesses with both liners, but my fav has to be the Amazing liner. Also that it is a very dark black colour, cause some liners to be a charcoal grey rather than an actual black. Of course you can find these beauties at their own website, and I suggest you to stock these as much as you can 😀

Have you tried them out? if so let me know what you think 🙂 Please don’t forget to show some love and like my facebook page and you can also follow me on Instagram and Bloglovin

Rabbit Club Malta-Calender Photoshoot

Hello guys,

Last week I was begged to help as a Make-Up artists for the Rabbit Calendar photo-shoot. Of course I didn’t do any make-up on the Rabbits themselves 😛 but I did however do Make-Up on two beautiful women named Svetlana and Miriam. Being that today is mothers day I felt it appropriate to post the photos today being that they are mother and daughter. I was very pleased to do their make-up not only because I love what I do but because they appreciated my work and gave me a lot of positive remarks.

I wish to wish all the Mothers out there a Happy Mothers day, may your daily sacrificed be appreciated and celeberated :D.

Now as for the photo-shoot, the Rabbit Club do an annual Calender shoot were they exhibit their beautiful rabbits which natural gorgeous models. I was asked by the Rabbit club committee to do a very natural make-up look, however being that it’s spring and almost summer I wanted to give that vibe by adding a bit of colour onto the lips. The final photos with the rabbits will be posted at the end of this year however in the meantime I have some beauty shots for the Make-Up I did.

Svetlana

Having beautiful facial feuturs and big eyes to work on I decided to make it a bit heavier than most common natural make-up because on camera it would barely show she has make-up on. I still used natural bronze colours on the eyes, using gold and brown shadows and a thin eyeliner. Then I applied a nice pink shade on the lips. This is not a natural look for an evening out but it is when it is for a photoshoot. I have tested make-up on camera and have learned a lot along the way.

CalendarShoot2

Miriam

Before I explain the look, Miriam is on her 50’s and she is simply stunning for her age. I truly wish I look as good as she does at her age.  Make up on a more mature women should be as lighter as possible, using lighter foundation and lighter colours. When you apply heavy a darker shade of foundation or eye-shadows on a mature women, it might make her look older than she is, and we definitely don’t want that. I used similar colours as Svetlana but made sure to use less product. Finally being that Miriam has beautiful pouty lips I applied a nice light pink shade and Voilaa.

Smoking Yellow – Make-Up Look

Spring is not doubt with us and after Easter I was in the mood to lay with bright colours. About two months ago when I was in Italy, I bought this beautiful dress by H&M, and on the front it has these beautiful florals with bright colored jams. So I let the dress inspire me to create this make up look.

Y2

Y4

 Instructions:

  • I always start the make up look by priming my eyes and then fill in my eyebrows with a mixture of brown and black eyeshadow. My eyebrows are a very dark brown colour, almost black so I like mixing both colours.
  • Then I applied a matte white colour on the brow bone and onto the inner corner of my eyes, this is a good trick which will make your eyes bigger and wider than they already are.
  • Following I applied a light brown on to the crease, this will serve as a base for the mixture of shadows, it will help with the blending of the colours. Then I apply a tiny amount of a very brown colour on the outer lid and blend it with the rest, still leaving an empty space on the middle of the lid.
  • Now it’s time to work our way on the middle lid, on which I applied a beautiful bright yellow shade and as usual, blend blend, blend :).
  • Finally I topped more shadow on the outer lid and onto the crease, this time in with a black colour. Finished off by applying eyeliner and mascara.
  • As for the cheeks I used a nice red toned blusher and I left the lips natural as possible using a baby pink neutral lipstick.

HAUL -Make Up Revolution – First Impressions :D

When Make-Up Revolution was buzzed about a while ago, and I gave in to temptation and bought myself some their products. There was quite a hype going on recently about their products, being that they are shockingly cheap and of great quality. When I browsed through their website, I really didn’t know what I should get. I have seen some reviews to which seemingly none had anything bad to say about them, which made my shopping list more difficult to narrow down.

I would also like the mention the shipping is pretty fast for Malta; I ordered the make-up on a Friday and received the next Tuesday here. Well done Make-up revolution :D.

Haul1

So here is the list of products I got:

Haul2

AMAZING LIPSTICK IN BLACK HEART |REBEL WITH CAUSE |DEPRAVED |LADY CRIME |FELONY | THE ONE| NUDE :

I simply love these lipsticks, they cost just £1 and are quite pigmented for such a ridiculous cheap price.  They come in a cute black packaging with the colour of the lipstick on top. I got quite a mixture of colours, from Nude to bright and shocking ones. The creamy lipsticks stay on for about 3 to 4hrs before having the need to reapply, while the matte ones always last longer.  As I’ve expected the packaging can be quite flimsy, however I am not bothered at all, it just £1 after all.

Haul3

EYE DUST PURE PIGMENTS IN LEVITY  | SHAMEFUL|  FROLIC| HYSTERIA | ANTIC | STARLESS

I had a photo-shoot where I needed to use some pigments and I was surprised to find a whole range of them. They are pretty small, you have about 1.5g but they cost only £1. Yet they are super pigmented and look divine once swatched. I do intend to buy more of them eventually.

Haul4

COLOUR CHAOS EYESHADOW PALETTE:

Being that bright and shocking colours are not usually found in a palette, I was craving for some colour chaos. I’m in love with this palette, not only does it contain some beautiful bright and bold shadows, but all of them look the same on the skin as it doesn in the palette. I love the sleek black packaging which is surprisingly very sturdy and does not look like a £6 palette would usually have.

Haul5

BLUSH & CONTOUR PALETTE IN HOT SPICE  AND SUGAR AND SPICE:

These palettes are a must have, they are very pigmented, little goes a long way and you have every thing you need to highlight and contour your cheek bones. Each palette contains two highlighers, a couple of medium shades and darker bronzing shades. The Hot spice palette is more on the peachy side, while the Sugar and Spic is more on the pink and red tones. The packaging is sleep as the Eyeshadow palettes and they only cost £6 each. Simply amazing.

Haul6

ULTRA FACE BASE PRIMER:

This primer remind me of the Make Up Academy primer, it’s silicone based and it helps with the application of the foundation. I think it’s a pretty decent primer to use for everyday. I don’t think it lasts for 24hrs, it was to ambitious for Make up Revolution to say such a thing.

THE ONE FOUNDATION:

This was a bit of disappointment, I mean you cannot expect much for  £4 foundation but it ridiculously small and it comes in a liquid form which feels more like oily water than a foundation. Not to mentions that the packaging is like a very bad dupe for MAC face and body foundation. I hope they come up with a better foundation, it doesn’t have to be £4 , £6  would be just fine and hopefully with a good medium coverage this time

Haul7

PRO HYGIENE ANTIBACTERIAL BRUSH CLEANER:

This is my absolute favorite brush cleaner so far , it contains a generous 200ml and it costs only £5. I use it to give a nice clean to my powder brushes and it does the job very well. The only misfortune is that it arrived with a broken cap, other than that I simply cannot complain.

LIQUID EYELINER IN WATERPROOF AND ULTRA BLACK:

The eyeliners are my fav of all the products, this might sound crazy but I have been on the lookout for a good eyeliner for a while  which is not The NYX curve liner. Even though I love my NYX liner, it’s not so cheap and it lasts me for about a month or so, being that I use it a lot on myself and clients. So I was in need of a cheaper and good option, and I finally did both the liquid and pen are amazing, they last for a long time and they only vost £1.50.

BRONZER – BRONZED:

This is a lovely dark bronzer, applies heavinly and it is very pigmented, so don’t be hero and brush a lot of product unless you want to look like a Oomp Loompa :D.

So is the whole lot, Phew that was tiring 😛 , I do have another haul from Make-Up revolution which I should probably start preparing for you guys. I got some really great products, which I highly recommend except the foundation. Let me know what you think about  Make Up Revolution, especially if you tried them yourself. I love reading your comments.

Urban Decay- Potion Primer Eden

It is not secret  that Urban decay has an amazing range of great quality products and their Potion Primer is no exception. I’ve heard so much about this primer that I had to have it. A long time ago I bought the Original Potion Primer from e-bay and the result wasn’t at all satisfying, but its a huge probability that they were either expired or just not right.  Then as I was in London apart from the Naked 2 palette I had to buy the primer of course, however this time I bought it in eden. I really like the yellow-toned colour  and that it’s matte(which reminds me to that of a concealer), I find it ideal as a base colour.

PP1

The aim of the product is to prevent creasing and helps your eyeshadow stay all day long and also increase the color vibrancy of the eyeshadow.  It truly does what it says, it didn’t crease on me and it worked wonders on my skin tone and the eyeshadow truly does last all day long. I have used this primer for weddings and photoshoots and they all were impressed how their make-up stayed put all day long. It truly makes the eye-shadow more vibrant, even if it’s a cheap shadow. If your skin has pink undertones I do suggest Sin instead of Eden as this might be a bit too yellowish for your taste.

PP2

Like the name Potion Primer, the packaging looks like a potion bottle which I find to be utterly cute. I have seen this primer in a tube like mine but there might be also available with a doe foot applicator.

PP3

 Pros:

  • Good quality and cute packaging
  • Prevents creasing
  • Eye-shadow stays all day long thanks to this primer
  • This beauty costs £16  which is probably about 19 or 20 euros, this might be seen as pricey but seriously it’s worth every penny.

Cons:

  • The only con I can think of it that I might not be suitable for someone with pink undertones but other than that this is just perfect.

PP5PP4

Will I ever buy this product again? Definitely, if I ever run out of this primer I will have to figure a way to repurchase this beauty and probably the rest of the Urban Decay Primer Potion collection.

Do I recommend it? For sure, I personally think this is a must have especially for those special occasions where you need your make up to look great all day long like weddings or other celebrations.

Have you tried this particular primer, let me know what you think about it down below 🙂

Winter Tag

Hello guys,

It’s the New Year and yes I have been tagged this Winter by the lovely Steph from Think Love Makeup blog.  She is a lovely British born Maltese blogger, that has an undeniably passion for Make-up, just like me :D.  I will start by saying that I am not a winter person, I simply hate winter and Love Summer. Yet as the positive person I am, I try to look at the good in everything, and there are some things that winter is great for, so keep on reading.

So let’s start with the questions:

1) Favourite Winter Nail Polish?

This is a bit tough cause I have quite a couple that I like to wear nowadays.  In winter I love wearing dark nail polishes, and I’ve been wearing this lovely dark blue polish by the Make up store called Anders and also red Nail polish by Maybelline.

A1Chris3Chris2

2) Favourite Winter lip product?

I have been loving the Anatomicals Stop Cracking Lip balm, it’s perfect for this cold weather.

l2

3) Most worn Winter clothing piece?

It has to be my leather jackets, I wear it everyday for work. It keeps me warm and it’s looks pretty good. I have an undeniable love for leather jackets, they can be worn with anything.

scarf2

4) Most worn Winter accessory?

It has to be my scarves, being that I also love to sing, I need to take care of my voice and keep my necks covered when outside. So I make sure to always wear one even when I’m running.

scarf

5) Favourite winter scent/candle?

I have been loving Beyonce’s perfume Heat and even Pulse but I find it more summer, but I recently smelled My secret by Antonio Banderas and I have to say it smells devine. Funnily enough I have never really took any particular notice to a perfume, I usually get them as presents so never really bothered buying some for my own. However I don’t have a particular favorite candle.

6) Favourite Winter beverage?

It has to be tea, I simple love tea from normal to herbal tea’s, they keep me warm and taste great.  Then to unwind, some lovely white or rose wine, or even some Vodka coke on the weekend.

7) All time favourite Christmas/Holiday movie?

To be honest I don’t have one in particular, I love movies in general and watch them all the time but none of them I watch because of a particular season.

8) Favourite Christmas/Holiday song?

I will let out a secret, I am not much of a Christmas person, I simple hate Christmas songs, they are so boring and all sound the same. Being that I also work in a showroom, I have to listen to same songs for a whole month and believe me it’s not fun hehe. Not to sound like the Grinch, there are two songs I don’t mind listening  is Shake up Christmas by Train and Christmas Light by Coldplay.

9) Favourite Holiday food/treat?

It has to be my sister Lasagna, she does  the best lasagna ever.love  I had plenty of it during the holidays and it was so good, I really didn’t mind having it over and over again.

10) What is your favourite Christmas Decoration this year?

I really don’t like Christmas decoration, I find them to be quite tacky (ok now i really sound like the Grinch hehe). My sister usually does the decorations, she is more of a winter person than I am.  However I do like simple decorations that give a nice touch here and here, like gold and silver candles or flowers.

11) What’s at the top of your Christmas list?

Well now Christmas is over I don’t have anything, and even though I love to give presents, I didn’t have any presents to give to aparts from my parents. Being that I am have a huge family (4br+sisters and 7 niece and nephews) we stopped giving gifts to each other because it will be to pricey. Me and my friends were going to do a secret santa but we barely met before the holidays because of their studies that we didn’t manage that one either, so I guess we have to leave it for next year.

12) What are your plans for the holidays this year?

Well my plans were to spend some fun time with my friends and family, and I did. Everything went pretty well even if we had some few setback, but overall I had an awesome time.

I tag you guys feel free and reply to these questions on your blog.

this post,  I will start posting some interesting reviews this week and maybe some new tutorials. I would love your suggestions in how to improve my blog or if you want me to post about something in particular.

Lots of Love

Make Up Store – Nail polish in Anders

Hello guys,

Before I start my review I want to remind you to like my Facebook page, so that I will host an awesome Giveaway. I only have 2 likes left to get 100 likes overall :D. Thank you for your Love and Support xoxo

So a while ago,I treated myself to some of the Make up store’s fabulous products at the Launch of the New Dean Gera’s hair salon Launch. One of them is this lovely dark blue sparkly colour called Anders. This product was part of our goodie bag and I am more than happy that I got this beautiful dark blue polish. I simply love dark colored nail polishes as I believe they are the prefect colors to wear for winter. This product is also in my November Favorited which you can check out here.

A2

Pros:

  • Like all Make up store nail polishes, they come in these sleek transparent bottle with a black matte tap and it contain 8ml of products.
  • This particular colour is from their sparkling range which is this deep blue with sparkly undertones. I love this colour because it it is very wearable, even if it has that “sparkling” factor it doesn’t look childish or our of context if you wear it for work for example.
  • It has a very good pigmentation which you can achieve with one coat but I always ops for a second coat.
  • The staying power of this polish is amazing, it started chipping slightly after 5 days of wear.
  • It retails for about 10.99 euro which is a pretty decent price, not too pricey but not cheap either

A1

Cons:

  • The application was a little bit messy for me, the texture is a little bit too tick but I imagine it because of the sparkly undertones.
  • It does not dry like their usual glossy polishes, it actually dries in a matte way so I did have to apply a top coat on it to achieve the result I wanted.

Will I ever buy this product again? I do have to admit, I fell in love with this colour so I might buy it again, however I’m pretty positive i’ll try some of their other polishes.

Do I recommend this product? Yes definitely, it a pretty good polish none the less, check their nail polished at their Shop at the Point Shopping Complex – 2 Sliema.

1

  1. My first favorite is the Stop Cracking lip balm by Anatomicals, to which you can read the review here. Now that it is freezing cold, I needed a lip balm that helped to stop my lips from cracking and leaving them super soft, and this just does the trick.
  2. Second favorite has to be The Curve Eyeliner, by Nyx, click here for the review. I simple love this liner because it is so easy to apply, it transfers pretty well and I apply my liner very fast.
  3. Another great product has to be the Matte white Michroshadow by The Make up store, check out the review on here. I love eye-shadows, especially when they are super pigmented. I use the shadow all the time for my make-up look its easy to apply and very bendable. Love it.
  4. Last buy not least another Make up store product, this time the nail polish called Anders. I still have to review this product but I’ve been using this colour a lot, and I simply love it for fall and winter, keep posted for the review :).

MAC Pro Conceal and Correct Palette – Light

Hello guys,

I am finally starting to review some the MAC products I got recently when I went to London.  I have bought so many products before going to London and even from London that it is taking me a while to review you them all, but I love it. Apart from trying these great products I love telling you what I think about each product, it so much fun for me :D.

C3

I wanted to start reviewing the products as if you were to apply them, being that I already reviewed the primer by MAC which you can view here, I will start with the Pro conceal and Correct Palette. When I went to the MAC  section at Selfriedges there was a huge crowd of people trying out mac products so it was kind of hard for me to shop and look around but thankfully I was a little prepared as to what I wanted.  Being that I never tried any MAC concealers I didn’t know what to get, but as I saw this palette I knew I had to have it.

C1

Pros:

  • Let’s start with the packaging, I simple love their sleek black packaging I feels very sturdy I don’t think there will any be a reason for breakage.
  • The concealers themselves are pretty good, even-thought they do not impress me much, the palette is perfect to cover minor imperfections or lighten some of the dark circles under the eyes.
  • It is not cakey, it gives a medium coverage but it is quite buildable.
  • It’s also great because it offers warm and cool shades and you can use the pink corrector to fox the warm shades of your fades.

C2

Cons:

  • I wished they had a little more coverage like the MAC pro long wear concealer
  • This palette is quite pricey as most of the other MAC  products is costs £35, even though I do think it’s worth the money because you have a lot of shades in one palette, I could suggest you go for something else.

c4

Will I ever buy this product again? I am not sure to be honest because I am a little bit hard to please :D, but I do like this palette not sure if I would go for it again because I would love for it to give more of a coverage.

Do I recommend it? I do recommend this palette because it’s a good concealer palette overall and you won’t be disappointing for sure.
