NYX- Za Za Zu Mascara

Hello guys,

Since NYX opened in Malta I have been loving all of the products I bought and given. As I am always on the look for a new mascara to fall in love with and when I saw this mascara with its huge wand, I knew I had to have it ¬†however it failed to impress :(. I really don’t like giving bad reviews about products but unfortunately this has to be one of them. I am always 100% honest in my reviews and if I don’t like a product I wouldn’t want others to waste their money on products that aren’t so good.

Pros:

  • The mascara comes in a ¬†nice black sleek packaging
  • I love the brush, it’s big and thick and I imagine with a good formula it will give gorgeous lashes.
  • A good way I found to use this mascara is as a primer, you apply it first to give it that slight thickness than apply another good mascara for the final result.

Cons:

  • The formula just does nothing for me, it doesn’t give any me any sort of volume and it definitely doesn’t lengthen my lashes.
  • I have applied it with two coats and it like I didn’t apply any mascara at all, it just made my lashes a bit darker.
  • I also hate the nylon fibers in this formula it seems to be flaking off and it gets stuck in my eye.

Will I ever buy this product? I am sorry but definitely not, it just didn’t do it for me.

Do I recommend this product? I don’t, but I do recommend you try some of their other mascaras from NYX because I’m sure they do a better job.

Revlon- Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara

Hey guys,

Before I start with my next review, you will notice a slight change in the way I will review products further on. I will be adding rating stars at the end of the review, and ask two main questions, if I will ever buy the product again? and if I do recommend it for you guys? This will give you an overall idea of what I think about the products. ūüôā

Today I will review the mascara which I have been using for about a month now. I bought the Grow luscious plumping by Revlon at a drug store and it retails for about ‚ā¨11 if i’m not mistaken, which is a good price for a drugstore brand. To be honest I am not really a big fan of this mascara however it’s not the worst either, it does give volume but it doesn’t lengthen my lashes. I do feel it makes lashes slightly heavy due to its dry formula, and because of it, the natural curl of the lashes is somewhat lost. So instead of the lashes to go upwards like they should they seem to remain at the same place.

I am using this mascara for everyday make-up, because it is quite inexpensive and it’s not so bad, but for the weekend I do prefer using other mascaras. I do like the brush, as it starts quite thick which I like but it get thinner at the end. The idea behind it, is probably created to cover those small lashes at the inner corner of our eyes, which we rarely are able to apply mascara on.

Will I ever buy this mascara again? Probably not because I was expecting more volume and length, and I didn’t get it.

Do I recommend it? Maybe, it is¬†inexpensive after all and not so bad, it¬†just¬†didn’t fulfill my expectations.¬†

E.L.F HAUL – Make-up Tools

Hello make-up lovers,

As I have told you in my previous post, e.l.f had quite a nice offer of giving everything 50% off for St.David’s Day and I decided to buy some tools and brushes that I needed for quite a time.

Brushes and Mascara shield

  1. First is the angled foundation brush which is perfect to cover some angles of your nose and under your eyes. The brush is super soft and it blends the foundation well on to the skin.

2. Is the small precision brush which you can use to draw thin eyeshadow lines or even the eyeliner. The brush is also very soft and is perfect for liquid eyeshadows of eyeliners.

3. The angled eyeliner brush is my Favorite, it draws a nice thin line eyeliner line beautifully. This is the right brush to use when you want to draw a very thin line with a cream or gel eyeliner.

4. Lat but not least is the mascara shield which I really had to have. It happens to me a lot that I do the perfect eye-shadow and then ruin it with the mascara. This is just perfect I am proud of elf for coming with such a great idea. The shield is basically made from silicone and it stop you from having any fall-out. I find it a bit hard to use it on myself but it is definitely a must when you need to apply mascara on someone else.

I also bought some¬†disposable lip gloss wands which I like to give to my clients with a lipstick sample to carry with them for the¬†occasion. So they can do some further¬†touch-ups¬†later on. I even bought some powder applicators to also give out to clients. I once read that a¬†participial¬†make up artist, that she gave out powder applicators with some powder on them for the clients to have enough for¬†touching¬†up. I also got the eyebrow stencil to try them out but I honesty don’t really need them. I do find them a bit silly and I don’t like the¬†plastic¬†material because it sticks to my foundation and it gets dirty¬†immediately.

DSC00848 That is all for now, keep posted for more. I will try to do a new make up look this weekend. Thank you all for following
